new offer Sunderland make new offer for Lamine Koné According to our colleagues at Foot Mercato, Premier League side Sunderland have submitted a new formal transfer offer for Lorient defender Lamine Koné, as we anticipated on last night’s Get French Football News Mercato Show. The details of the offer have yet to emerge but the salary that Sunderland are offering Koné now is improved vis-a-vis the offer that he received from them at the beginning of the month when he was supposed to join the Black Cats. Lorient and the player are now considering the proposal.
Aye, one out one in. Probably similar wages too. Makes sense. Sam obviously doesn't fancy Coates otherwise he'd have come on in place of a 25% fit Kirchoff vs. Spurs.
I don't fancy Coates, I think he's ****e. Mistake prone, no composure and way too easily panicked into playing it long. We need shot of him. Exactly the sort of player we should be looking to ship out and replaced imo.
Say's **** all in my opinion. Especially as we're not the only club with reported interest this window. Sam's been chasing him for years. Take it up with him. I'll trust him myself. It's Big Sam's first window after all, I'll do him the basic respect not write off his choices before they've even pulled on a shirt. I've seen part of one Kone game. Not enough to judge. How much have you seen of him?
Or a long term target for a manager spanning two clubs. Could just be a Manager determined to get his man. I'd hedge my bets that's it. http://www.givemesport.com/480388-west-ham-interested-in-lamine-kone
Charles M'Zombiea, Robbie Notsokeen, Flannelheed Borerinio, now Laminated Traffickone. Its like an episode of the two ronnies.
Not judging Kone, only pointing out a lack of suiters if he is still up for grabs. Points to me he can't be that good or he would have been snapped up by now. I don't have to agree with your opinion
I'm not saying you do fella. We're just having a chat with opposing views(Comment-Debate-Create) and I'm just seeking the substance in your thought path. He's been linked with Westham, Villa and Norwich all window and it's believed two of them have made an approach. Kone and his agent both made public statements after the first transfer broke down. It doesn't mean there is other interest of course. But we both only have the media to go on and that says there is suitors. http://rokerreport.sbnation.com/2016/1/8/10735570/update-lamine-kone-on-transfer-collapse http://www.getfootballnewsfrance.com/2016/aston-villa-norwich-city-have-made-offers-for-lamine-kone/ http://www.dailystar.co.uk/sport/fo...illa-Lamine-Kone-Signing-Gossip-Rumour-Latest I don't get the point about being snaped up either. Why wasn't wijnaldum snapped up before this season? There could be many reason why like there could be many a reason why Kone hasn't made the move yet. I personally don't think it's a fair way to measure a player. I'll measure him on performances and keep an open mind
He isn't THAT good. Depends how you look at it. For £4m he is good value in my opinion. For £10m you've been bummed. I'm not a scout mind, I've only looked at him as part of a back 4 that is poor in Ligue 1's standards. He does have to do two jobs mind, as the RB that plays alongside him is an absolute waffle.
We as fans needed a new Borinin saga... this is it. Thanks SAFC, you know what we need and aim to deliver

The Sunderland manager has twice ended his interest in the 26-year Ivorian this month with the Black Cats initially cooling on a £5m deal and then negotiations breaking down on the other side of the Channel after a loan move had been proposed. However, the transfer has been resurrected with the Lorient vice-president Alex Hayes confirming that the club had received a bid it “couldn’t refuse”. Hayes told Ouest France: “Sunderland have come back with a firm offer that we couldn’t refuse. The ball is therefore in Lamine Koné’s camp. He has to make his decision in the coming hours.”
