Few people popping up wanting them to stay. Can't wait to get shot of them myself, I think they're toxic, whats more I don't think they'd take kindly to being retained and would cause even more problems as a result. I don't want people playing for us who do not want to be here.

    What do you think?

Both leave, good money and a reduction in toxicity so a good move all round.

Having given it a lot of thought and reading the various opinions on here and in the social media I think it's best for all concerned that they both find another club to take the piss out of.

We need to rid the squad of poisonous prima donna's who only care about themselves and don't give a toss about the club and more importantly, the fans.

“In an Ideal world” I voted both of them to stay, but if I had to pick one it would be Kone!

Key word to conciser when casting the vote i reckon. In an ideal word they'd be good as gold and play their balls off, but I think it's much more likely they'd spit their dummy and cause problems.

It wasn't asked in an ideal world though fella. I'd vote keep in that case too. Who wouldn't them well behaved and and performing well? I'd vote to keep Adam Mathews if it was in an ideal world, because he'd be world class <laugh>

In any workplace, it need only take one bad apple to bring down the standards and ruin things. Send both packing and hope Grayson starts afresh and lets all players know their place.

Ideally both will leave for good money, but if either end up staying, I'd expect Grayson to get more out of them than Moyes could.

Its a grey area for me. Grayson's putting them in the side right now, Lens at least is showing glimpses of his ability, who's to say that one or either of them doesn't start to respond to the manager? Obviously, if they're going to continue to be bad eggs then they need to go but I think its a measure of Grayson that he's willing to give everyone a fair crack of the whip despite their past behaviour.

Keep them both. They will keep a bit of quality in a threadbare squad. They are both under contract at the end of the day.

I mean obviously if we get good offers for either sell but let's not sell at knock down prices just to get rid of their attitudes. If we are winning games none of this is a problem and I think we are more likely to be winning games if they both stay.

In another thread, I mentioned that I would rather have Kone and Lens in my side with their combined shyte attitude ...rather than Vaughan and McGeady who I believe are just journeymen footballers. I still believe that, but I don't see either staying, but from a pure footballing ability there is no comparison.

Do you not think that we've struggled for many seasons with having too many players who are just there for the pay? I think it's what has eventually dragged us into this financial mess, they underperform on the pitch and have a bad influence in the dressing room, I want players who actually want to play for Sunderland and its manager even if their quality isn't as good.

totally depends on what your aims are Nacho. You can make it with genuine quality, with average players you have an average team. I'm really not saying either Kone or Lens should stay, in fact they both leave asap for all I care, All I am saying to replace players who clearly have some ability when they can be arsed, with the likes of Vaughan and McGeady doesn't fill me with hope for the future. Hope i'm wrong.

Voted to keep Lens only because I'm worried that Grayson won't get the proceeds to spend on another striker.

We're so light up front it's frightening!

    Wouldn't call lens a striker myself. I'd say he's a wide forward.

Think he'll go after McGeady and Gradel join.
