Wouldn't mind, Maselia seems to be taking a long time, and we are crying out for left backs I guess Mee is all but done with, sorry mate, no-one is guaranteed first team here!
Shame about Mee, with his potential I would have thought he'd fancy his chances to make the left back spot his own. But oh well. Would have liked Masilela first and foremost, mainly for his pace, has anything happened since this morning to suggest that's in jeopardy? Ball seems likely. We've still got Berner as it is too. I wouldn't say we were exactly desperate for left backs.
Well its more the fact we don't have any pacey/attacking left backs atm, and this is what Sven prefers
True, but I wouldn't say Konchesky is particularly quick or great going forward, he's decent like Berner, but not Naughton-esque. if we got Masilela though I think that would be our pacey attacking left back. Is it possible he's failed his medical?! I wouldn't mind Konchesky though, would do a decent job I think.
Still waiting on the medical for Masilela, and then the work permit. Would rather spend that money on Mee
konchesky is a good solid LB with a decent left foot, im happy about that. Though masilela did look good on youtube!
Konchesky is a proven player in the prem so he will be more then good enough in this league. But i dont think he had the greatest time at Forest
doesnt have the pace sven likes, and £1.5m for a 30 year old is hardly a back up, but is obviously hopeful that his defensive ability, left boot and experience of when to bomb forward or not will make up for that!
Very undecided on this one. On one hand he has played in the Prem most of his career and apart from Liverpool spell has been good-average prem left back. On the other hand he was ****e at Liverpool and was pretty useless at Forest and I liked the look of Masilela!! £1.5 is an okay price...
I tell you what. This guy is desperate for a chance. This guy was ridiculed for his performances last season. This guy used to be a great defender in the Prem for Fulham. This guy, for the foxes will be....
I'd expect him to be solid but unspectacular. He's no Kyle Naughton, but no Ryan McGivern either. He's pretty much Berner but he can still play a run of games without passing out (I hope). Considering we will probably have a very attacking line-up this season, it's no great loss if we don't have full backs bombing up and down non stop. In fact it's arguably better. If they defend properly they've done their primary job after all.
masiela did get me excited though!! In that sort of Kaebi-esque i know nothing about this man but looks like her could tear the league apart from fullback way!
