    Full name Pape Moussa Konaté.
Date of birth 3 April 1993 (age 19)
    Place of birth Senegal
    Height 1.81 m (5 ft 11 in)
Moussa Konaté started his career playing for Senegalese second division club "ASC Toure Kunda de Mbour", Helping them to win promotion to top division and win the Senegal FA Cup for 2010 season, which resulted in 2011 CAF Confederation Cup appearance. In spring 2011 Konate came to Israel for a month trial for Maccabi Tel Aviv. He impressed Maccabi's coach Moti Ivanir enough to become Maccabi's first signing for the 2011–2012 season.

Young, tall, not without a touch of class, looks like another good piece of work by Carr.

Senegal dominated versus us, but were terrible in front of goal, with the exception of his finish. If we did sign him, I hope he wouldn't be another Ranger...

Why would we sign yet another player that could be out for the ACN? We need a none-African striker this time.

He looks a good prospect from his Olympic games but I'd be more concerned by his club form (does he play as an out and out striker for them too?). Not too concerned by the ACN thing, he's unlikely to be picked ahead of Ba, Cisse, N'Doye, Sow, etc for a few years anyway - they've got a cracking strike force!

If, and its a big if, these few games have been a true representation of his abilities I'd have him in a heartbeat. He tore the Uruguay defence to shreds, Coates is probably still in a cold sweat about it now. I suspect he wouldn't cost too much nor ask too high wages and he's only 19.

The kid wouldn't ask for too high a salary but his agent would be another matter.

The fact it is likely Senegal won't qualify for the ACoN?
    Worth the risk.

I know Senegal are terrible at the back, but even they aren't **** enough to not qualify.

They havea knock out game with the Ivory Coast to get through in order to qualify. Anytime you have to get by Tiote, you've got to worry

As Freddd says, they have to play Ivory Coast, draw was a month or two ago.

And if they do qualify who are you going to play up front? Ameobi?
We'll be ****ed. It's definitely not worth the risk.

Prefer a non ACON striker. Never good to have all your eggs in one basket even it is highly unlikely they'll get there

Even if Senegal did get through he would be unlikley to be called up , Cisse, Ba, Sow and Niang would be be ahead of him

Rearrange our games with the Mackems so that we play all four games in succession.
