    http://www.footylatest.com/newcastle-considering-a-very-surprise-move-for-man-city-defender/25848

Newcastle’s defensive woes could lead them to making a surprise bid for troubled Manchester City centre-back Kolo Toure in January.

Alan Pardew saw his side’s defensive inabilities exposed by Chelsea and after losing Steven Taylor for the remainder of the season and skipper Fabricio Coloccini ruled out for a month, Pardew is in desperate need of a centre-back which could see him enquire about Kolo Toure who has been deemed surplus to requirements at the Etihad Stadium, with the Ivorian keen to extend his stay in the Premier League.

Further down the pecking order has not boosted Pardew as Mike Williamson will not be back from Injury until the new year, and its thought that the Newcastle manager is keen to add experience.

Toure has not featured for Man City as much as the 30-year-old would have liked and has been heavily critical of his current club Manchester City and its thought that he will be available for around £4 million.

This is such bullshit I just don't know where to start. Let me just get the two main points out of the way though:

    1). Too old
    2). Wages

If they would subsidise a loan, then we couldnt really do any better IMO.

He's already said he wants to go to PSG, wouldn't mind him though as long as he wasn't on massive wages!

This, also with City paying 50% or more of his wages. :D

Can't see it happening though.. wages/too old/injury-prone/slighty past it.

Very possibly a huge pile of bullcrap but not going to lie I'd be loving it if we got him!

But as mentioned higher up, wages would be a big big (second big for effect) obstacle.

I'd like that Savic or whatever his name is on loan, but that's not gonna happen.

Could the reason he's not played much be because he was banned? Offer 4 million and refer to him only as Toure throughout negotiations then put YAYA in tiny font on the contract.

Easy as out! Remember in the summer when I pretended I was 'in the know' on twitter and my transfer rumours made it into the sunday sun because all the journalists were following me and I got the rumours spread about well. Says it all and proves you shouldn't believe any dodgy website, any newspaper or anyone on twitter.

There should be a competition in January over who can generate the most coverage for a rumour they have just made up. The more ridiculous the better.
