It’s a power struggleNick, why don't you just post as an ordinary member, like the rest of us? None of us have any complaints about how Not606 is moderated.

It’s a power struggle![]()

Like the vast majority of Charlton fans who go to the games...
You can’t have a Charlton forum where the Mod doesn’t know any of the players, tactics & transfer targets, and is so out of touch that he thinks Les Berry is a candidate to be our Young Player of the Year.
I'll make Kojak an offer.
Bring your absent posters back right now, and "get the forum flying".
From the moment you return, bringing at least two others with you, I won't post a single message for 30 days.
If you and your chums are as good as your word and succeed in "getting the forum flying" in that time I'll step down as moderator and leave the forum.
If you choose not to take up this offer, then stop carping from the shadows and using Elfs as your mouthpiece.
Join the forum and contribute. That's how you build a community.
Don't perpetuate this lie about my "dominance". All I'm doing is contributing to the community here - which is far more than you're currently doing.
The notion that I'm keeping other fans away merely by my presence is laughable.
Like Roland's ridiculous claim that Chris Wilder backed out of becoming Charlton manager at the last moment because someone on CL posted a rude message about him
How soft a snowflake would you have to be in order to be scared off by such a mild-mannered and altogether pleasant fellow, if I do say so myself
Can't see the forum flying anywhere if that flight is supposed to be achieved by members too timid even to post here in my presence![]()
Good to have you back Mr Landlord, I never did get to HailshamExactly right.
I no longer contribute much because I fell out of love with the game when it became heavily politicised - kneeling, rainbows etc - and as such am probably as good an example as any of a supporter who has drifted away.
I was persuaded to go to Wembley by my brother, and a lovely day it was too, but can't really see myself attending many games ever again and as such having anything useful to contribute to any forum.
Never met The Sherriff, but have always had a cordial online relationship with him and I greatly respect his perceptive viewpoints and his amusing way of putting things across. But on this point Lardi is absolutely correct about the duties of a moderator, it's up to the members to make it great and the moderator should be just a shadowy figure keeping order.
, how do you fancy opening a pub in Brazil?!I am making it ready for sale and the first person to walk in with £500k gets it even though the land alone is worth more. Would Brazil want another old English git? I wouldn't mind some sort of beach business to keep me occupied ...Good to have you back Mr Landlord, I never did get to Hailsham, how do you fancy opening a pub in Brazil?!
I'm guessing that you are expecting to sell the place quicker than putting the land up for sale?I am making it ready for sale and the first person to walk in with £500k gets it even though the land alone is worth more.
