Was kinda on the cards I guess but still way too early in the season I reckon. Bet Bilic is ****ting himself cos he'll be next !
Well that's scary. I don't think benitez will walk out on us with the possibility of new ownership on the horizon. But a squad like Everton's wouldn't half be tempting when you're having to use Joselu as your main striker
I Don't think so mate It was discussed in length over the weekend on National radio Rafa's affiliation with Liverpool would be to much for some Evertonians
Too early for me, think he should have had a bit more time. They can’t sell Lukaku and just think it will be business as usual straight away. There’s 3 points between them and 12th it’s not like they are rock bottom like Palace were. Heard Ancelotti mentioned but that may just been more wishful thinking, Moyes would be a proper step back. Not sure who they will get in but can’t see Benitez leaving - at least not until a new owner has been appointed and he knows what’s happening here. Not only that but I think others are right in that his affiliation with Liverpool will be too much for some to take.
Rafas had one recent relegation fight, won't be in the mood for another. Sean Dyche is the obvious choice for me, maybe he's got too much loyalty to Burnley to move on, but he's certainly earned a chance for a crack at a job like this. The fact Moyes is a strong contender is....interesting.
Folk are too quick to pull the trigger. If they have a **** season it’s all Down to them. Like De Boer... step changes in how a team plays take time to bed in.
I doubt Koemans gonna be short of offers. With Southampton being a bit meh right now, I'd have thought going back there would be an option for him, but talking to a Saints fan in the pub last week when we played them, apparently he wouldn't be welcome back there. In the unlikely event that Everton poach Benitez, would Koeman come here? Id welcome him if that happens.
Serves him right. It's payback for scoring that winner against England when he should have already been sent off. It's a good job I don't bear grudges.
Given that they've played the current top 5 in their 9 games so far, it seems a bit harsh Although watching the game yesterday, the Everton team did seem to have pretty much given up on him Can't see Benitez going to be honest - Everton had pretty much a one off opportunity to go out a blow a load of cash and it was royally screwed up (especially when you think they made a load back on Lukaku etc) - now have too many underperforming players who'll they'll never make the money back they paid out - £45m on Sigurdsson???
Ancelloti will take that role I reckon. On the rebound from Bayern and is pure class. They have deep pockets so that should be enough to tempt him. The only thing I could see preventing it is they have loads of top youngsters who will be stunted by someone like Ancelloti who will look to do a short term job. Far too soon to be pulling the trigger though. I put a double on him and Bilic to go this week after the weekend. The odds weren't even that good such is the current way of doing things.
Who knows - UEFA seem to have pretty much given up on FFP based on Man City and PSG spending over the summer
WHAT!? So its a choice between Koeman and Moyes and they're picking Moyes? To be fair even I can appreciate the Sterling job he did at his last place.
Why would they? Didn't they get £80m for Lukaku and they would have had a load of cash from the Prem TV money. In addition, if I understand it correctly, FFP allows clubs to lose tens of millions over a rolling 3 year period and still fall within the rules. They spent a lot but I doubt much of it was on tick.
Koeman, apparently, has been offered the Sunderland job. "I know I'm ****', he replied. "But not that ****!"
