Koeman had a little pop at Bilic for fielding a weakened team in Romania on Thursday. Perhaps if Koeman had done the same, his side wouldn't have put in such a lacklustre performance and drawn against a side as poor as the Wally with the Brolly's Newcastle. You need to be shrewd in this game Ronald. Prioritizing a second rate tournament over the premier league was pretty poor. Anyway. I'm off out to celebrate 3 points. Have a good evening lads.
The shameful European showing from the Spanners will forever taint their history. Maybe not to the extent that it can overshadow the fans behavior in years gone past but most definitely a black mark all the same.
Agreed. This could be as embarrassing as PISKIE's faux pas. For those of you who don't yet know, PISKIE, yesterday, posted a thread taking the piss out of Mourhino, after Chelsea drew with Swansea, a mere 24 hours before Arsenal lost against West Ham! Some have suggested that PISKIE should start a "Wenger Watch" thread, in honour of his comic timing!
You are so rattled You ****ed up big time because you claimed that I wrote that thread because Chelsea LOST to Swansea. I even tried to help you see the mistake you had made, but you decided to unwittingly dig a deeper and deeper hole for yourself. When the Penny finally dropped (after me having to prompt you several times) You tried to hide your embarrassment by editing your posts to cover up your **** up, despite your original quotes being there for everybody to see ! It was a **** up on a monumental scale and even now you're still trying to squirm.
He was right to have a pop at Bilic. Was an insulting line-up to those who travelled and spent a lot of dough to watch their team in Romania.
Tends to happen when you've used almost no first teamers throughout the competition. Im glad we are focusing on the Prem, not some micky mouse euro cup. Good luck in the Europa tho.
You played a full strength side or close to it in the first leg against Astra. Valencia, Collins, Ogbonna, Payet etc etc.
Saints are a little club on the coast that fluked their way into Europe, so of course they would take the competition serious from the outset. West ham are one of the smaller clubs in London, but they have to avoid relegation at all costs as moving into their new stadium with premier league football is more important then a little run in the Europa league.
Yeah but West Ham won the World Cup and therefore should be granted automatic Champions League football every year.
In case you missed it (quite comical at times) The Olympic stadium: how the hammers struck gold http://www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/episode/b0676crf/the-olympic-stadium-how-the-hammers-struck-gold And their new badge "‘London’ is incorporated in the badge to help the ambitious club make strides in global football market" I would love to see them get relegated but they have a talented squad this season but maybe they could change the London part to "world cup winners 1966"
I don't hate Southampton but their fans sure have gotten gobby over the past couple years. They're becoming Yid Lite in fact.
Yeah it's scandalous the deal they've pulled off being the only horse in the race for the Olympic Stadium and the taxpayer is picking up far too much of the bill. Still, the club isn't to blame. Thick as **** politicians like Tessa Jowell insisting we needed a 60,000 athletics stadium while closing all the existing athletics stadiums and selling off as many playing fields as possible before realising no one gives a **** about athletics part from 2 weeks every four years are the true morons. Manchester council understood, as anyone with a drop of sport knowledge would, that only football can get close to being viable in such a stadium so built one easily convertible and relatively cheap. London has spent over quarter of a billion pounds converting a soulless athletics bowl into a soulless football stadium.
Saints are a little club on the coast that fluked their way into Europe, so of course they would take the competition serious from the outset. West ham are one of the smaller clubs in London, but they have to avoid relegation at all costs as moving into their new stadium with premier league football is more important then a little run in the Europa league.
Considering that it is an achievement that is a result of 38 games, maybe calling it a it a fluke is a little off center. If you remember when Spurs performed above expectations many too wrote it off as being a fluke, they were wrong, it was no fluke, only the spirited effort(s) of a one man team.
Saints rise from the lower leagues has been a fantastic journey for you and your other fans but qualifying for Europe was a fluke season as it won't be repeated and much of your success last season was based around players performing to a level that I doubt will happen again. We had our period of finishing 4th/5th/4th/5th so as you can see that was a consistent time for the club, challenging for top four, finishing top four, reaching the champions league and finishing top four again, but we decided to employ Pochettino and he is helping us become the 6th best club in England as that is where I expect us to finish from now, and stuck in mediocrity playing crap football, so you may well have a cheeky grin at that,
I don't support Watford but I've seen enough of your posts to know I'd get a better conversation out of my dog and he died 15 years ago.
