Anyone got one? Currently have BT tv which is ****. Netflix and now TV movies. Also ****. Well Netflix original content is good. Other than that ****. Been told to buy an Amazon box and get kodi installed on it. Though having googled it seems you can buy one with it on already and apparently you can stream all sport, films that have just gone on the cinema boxsets. Advice needed
It works, but be aware it is a stream. A stream that is free to air. Don't expect the same picture quality, and you'll likely get buffering and freezing too. A lot depends on your internet speed, and how many people are trying to view the same stream. Mobdro is another one for sports.
I only really want to watch the golf on sky. I also want access to all the boxsets on sky. Basically I want sky without having sky.
I just "loaded" a mates kodi box, it takes about an hour to upload a good kodi build, but as said earlier in the thread they can be bought fully loaded. As its basically an android device, NSIS is right about Mobdro which can be downloaded as a separate app from kodi on the device, its got all the sports etc plus sky movies, he also said the picture quality ain't so good which is true but if you download kodi onto a laptop then connect it to a TV the picture quality is much better sweats, some kodi addons have boxsets of the most popular TV series and movies but you'd have to trawl through your addons to find what you're looking for.
True. Movies are generally good! I've had some very stable streams and have watched movies that hadn't even really been released yet. It's live TV, especially footie, where it can be a bit hit and miss....
Yep, it's nowhere near as fast where I am. We don't have fiber yet. But, in general the ping here is also very slow compared to the UK. I now use a hosted system, which works a lot bettter.
I run OSMC/Kodi on a Raspberry Pi 2, works well. Just be aware that UK ISPs block some of the most popular streaming sites. You can get around that by using a VPN but it's not something I'd recommend unless you have some technical knowledge. Still works well without a VPN but it's more of a pain to find decent footie streams, especially if you want English commentary.
Fair enough, I haven't tried that. I used to rely on Phoenix and UK Turks addons, and then resort to IPTV links in Zem.TV if that wasn't working. Usually ended up with Bein Sports 8 Saudi Arabia or SportKlub 1 Serbia Now I just use Sportsdevil through VPN.
I've tried most of them, mate. I use a different service on my iPad. But eir is pretty good, if Sky is causing problems... Everybody knows about Beinsports, they all pile on there for the 3pm kickoffs
Bought a box from Amazon for £34 fully loaded bought the internet booster plug things so that I can plug it in via ethernet and I have very few problems with film and TV. Sports is the same as a laptop with a rubbish picture. For the price is worth it.
If anyone has NowTV cancel prescriptions, click the costs too much box and it usually offers you it for half price for so many months
