Chances are they have got a free match day ticket in the post. My better half just opened her mail and there was a letter from Safc containing one free match day ticket to Arsenal game. Very good gesture by the club and most unexpected. Anyone else heard anything similar?

Can't understand anyone giving up their season tickets when we are having our longest ever stay since the Premiership was formed, unless it is for financial reasons of course..

I'm actually considering not renewing next season, too many school tickets flying around, £10 tickets, i end up giving it away 4/5 times a season, hate the treatment we get in the south stand (so if renewing will be moving) cant get served at ht, they switch the tv's off when your still trying to enjoy your refreshment!
Its freezing on the concourse, everything is massivly overpriced!

Apart from that its a cheap enjoyable matchday experince (when we win)

All joking aside, its an expensive hobby! Thrre were alot of fans who swore they would not return while mrs doubtfire was at the helm, maybe trying to tempt some of those back?

This was posted a few weeks back and whilst I am all for getting the people back in and crowds back up a very valid point was raised about those of us who have already paid out for season tickets.
OK we get discounts here and there but this appears to be a complete freebie.

It pisses me right off Gil, it would soften the blow if they'd given all season ticket holders free entry to bolton in the cup or somthing (bloody anything) i would have gone!

    Your right m'on.
Think anybody who renews for next season should have their card activated for at least one cup match for free. This is assuming we get a home draw and you have not opted out of the cup games.
I/we pay good money and then on the Saturday you have somebody sitting close by you who has paid a tenner. I know over the course of the season we should save money BUT these cheap tickets are being given out more and more often, so do we?

Alt: Could the club try selling season tickets the Hartlepool way albeit on a grander scale. The more that sign up the cheaper they become. Anybody who pays by direct debit would hopefully pay less/not at all the last payment. This may free monies up for more fans to attend the cup games thus in turn increasing revenue for the club.
As you can probably tell I am no businessman but there's bound to be a few on here who could put this more eloquently and into a business like plan with more thought.
There's also probably a few who will shoot this down in flames and explain why.

    Just my little thoughts.

My uncle did and has received on.

I've said or years that loyal, upfront paying season ticket/card supporters are taken for granted and fairweather ones get all the benefits of new PR stunts to attract them. I am continually angered that my loyalty is never rewarded and a free ticket so I can take my daughter or similar would be a nice gesture every now and again, or how about a half price shirt for early renewal?

My uncle has no intentions of going back anytime soon as his circumstances have dictated otherwise.
