Complete joke how we are allowing someone of Knockaert's ability to walk out the door for nothing. He should have been given a new contract last season and he should have played a lot more this season. We lack a number 10 and he might have been the player we needed

I think he's another one who has got on the wrong side of NP. Our leader tends to like players who tow the line and not "characters" who he seems to find hard to manage and accommodate.

I don't buy that. When you think it was Pearson who brought in Knockaert and Mahrez and both have played massive roles for us since signing

If Pearson was scared of hard to manage players then he wouldnt have brought in Cambiasso either. He is used to be managed by some of the biggest name managers like Jose Mourinho and could have quit easily have questioned Pearson

I don't think Knockaert is good enough for the Prem. Whether we survive or not, we need a squad in which all members should at least be capable of doing a job at that level. I have to say Knocky is one of a small number (along with GTF, Wood and Bakayogo) that isn't up to that standard. I hoped it was because he was still young, but maybe our management team isn't satisfied with his development.

It's definitely not Knocky's attitude; from what I can gather, he's applied himself well and asking to play for the under-21 shows he's keen. This would have pleased Pearson, but if you're not good enough...

Cambiasso seems like a model pro, why would he be hard to manage?

I'd agree - great ability does not necessarily equate to complex or difficult character and vice versa ,.. Messi for instance ... and the antithesis Barton, Bendtner

Still think it was an article to a French journo that pissed NP off - Knockaert has hardly been around the first team since that was published.

Im not saying he isn't. People have said Nigel Pearson can't manage proven players or players they don't fall into line with his ideas

If Cambiasso thought Pearson was out his league then I doubt he would have brought into what we are doing

When Cambiasso signed he wouldn't have known Pearson's attributes as a manager. He may think Pearson's wonderful, he may not, but I for one wouldn't question his professionalism on and off the field. Cambiasso would be my choice to take over as manager. He has a wealth of knowledge from playing under so many top managers and I think he is well respected by the players. If he has ambitions to be manager I would love to see him start with us. I still maintain NP has a problem with players who don't tow his party line and have the temerity to express their own views and feelings.

Can't say I've seen that Proud ... more that he has difficulty with 'opinionated' players ...
