http://www.givemefootball.com/335707-anthony-knockaert-better-than-wilfried-zaha ... interesting article ...
I think Knockaert looks a shining ****ing prospect. He really impressed me when I saw him play against us at both the KP and the KC Stadiums. Zaha gets all the plaudits because he's English. Ince, Aluko and Knockaert are all far better than Zaha IMO. However, under Ferguson, I think Zaha has a bright future. If Leicester don't go up this Season, I think you'll receive some rather lucrative offers and struggle to keep him. Especially with Arsenal and Newcastle adopting the 'sign Frenchies on site' policy!
.. I've heard they are already in fierce competition to sign Just Camembert from Montpellier and Brie D'Boursin from Lyon ...
Doesn't surprise me at all. I thought teams would start signing more Spanish players after the Spanish domination and 'revolution' of football. Swansea signed Michu and he's set the Premier League alight. After Arsenal stopped winning silverware under Wenger, the French market was deemed pretty much dead but looks as though it's another attractive means of recruitment.
... think you may come to regret this at some point Candy ... I was in humourous vogue Just Camembert from Montpellier and BrieD'Boursin from Lyon
Oh dear. I'm not having a good time with falling into these traps lately. My whole conception of humour and wit seems to be off. I might take a Not606 sabbatical for a while. Think things over...
It is funny how the French market suddenly became attractive again just as Joey Barton moved there. It's almost like the French players were pricing them out of a move before and dropped their demands just to get away from him.
I'd say Zaha is better because he has more facets to his game - Knockaert has been found out and is struggling to make an impact in games now after the early season brilliance while Zaha is still doing it now.
I hope he shows commitment to us in the summer, even if we did get promoted, there'd be no guaranteeing that he would stay even then. Im sure if it was up to the owners and Pearson, he'd still be here for the remainder of his contract, but i can see his attitude forcing a move, hes good and he knows it.
They're different players for one thing- Zaha's a winger and Knockaert's an attacking midfielder/playmaker. Knockaert's a smarter player in my opinion, but needs to keep his head on to become world class- he could go off the boil like Adel Taarabt. But Zaha's got that pace and trickery that you don't lose easier. With good management (remember he's been one of Pearson's success stories- I think he's managed him brilliantly) Knockaert has better potential. Zaha's better now, but he'll have to reinvent himself once he loses his pace.
