One of my mates (only a young lad in his 20s) has just been stabbed up on Thursday. ****er is built like a brick ****house aswell.

It was during the day, and no booze involved.

I spoke to him and asked if the were chavvy little bastards or druggies, and he reckoned neither.

Coppers are now searching, and attempted manslaughter charges await.

Wtf makes an ordinary person carry a knife, and then stab some random ****, just missing their heart, kidneys, and slashing them across the head and back?

Not at all mate, he'll live. But others may not be so lucky.

It just poves you don't know who is carrying a knife.

Why do they feel the need? Insecure?

    Weapon of choice these days.

Kids carry them like watches and phones.

I have to be honest I carried a knife when I was younger (13-14) for a very shirt while

But I had been jumped by about 20 older lads and chased by skinheads with chains and stuff

My dad saw it and hammered me <laugh>

Tbh to this day I don't know for 100%

I was approached by a gang of lads once and it was in the back pocket of my jeans and as I felt it there it made me less scared. These lads were a stoke city firm and they did approach for naughty reasons, but out of the 10 or so I knew 4 and it it didn't go past "what the **** you doing here"

Yeah been a couple of occasions in my youth I look back at and break into a sweat tbh

I would never justify it or try and excuse it now but at the time being chased and beaten and importantly not believed didn't know what else to do

When I say not believed, when I got jumped authorities got involved and it was 20 words against 1 and all 20 said I started it. It was bullshit but there you go

Worse thing was my sister was with me and although I told her to run and she did I was really scared she would get hurt

Fear drives you nuts and I was in a place in a time when I got off the bus I would be covered in spit.

    Can't have been good mate.

But it's still my opinion, anyone (anyone) who leaves the house carying a knife needs locking up.

I actually agree with you and I would not excuse any of my lads for doing so

I suppose what I am saying is that not everyone carrys them to cause mischief which is pretty ****ty in itself

I worked nights in takeaways etc in my time and used to regularly see clubbers carrying small screwdrivers for "protection" but the so called "gangsters" had all sorts in their cars. One doorman I used to know in Merseyside had a shotgun in his car

Let me start by saying that its a different ball game now, these acid attacks and stabbings are happening for jokes nowadays

However when I was working in community safety years ago all studies of the kids getting caught with knives showed them to be carrying kitchen knives etc for protection or bullying.

The real assholes eventually caught doing the stabbing were usually not caught simply carrying and carried Rambo knives and even machetes or the butterfly knife.

The current crime trends are baffling police as they are not following trends of old.

That said when I was working we did see an increase in certain crimes in Scotland.

Believe it it not after the fall in crime after cameras were initially installed, crime went up and people did it in front of the camera.
In the past crimes were committed on the quiet, now its videoed and shared

You are right, knives were rare. Now it seems we have a country of cowards, that feel they need them.
