We know the relationship he has with the fans. He's been carrying the weight of their expectations on his shoulders all season. Coupled with personal tragedy and now add to that the latest mess, it's a lot for anyone to cope with. The man is a beautiful human being. Roll on next season.
As **** as this year has been, it gives him the perfect opportunity to lay blame to our ****ness due to the pandemic and start afresh
He definitely needs a break, as do the whole team. I will hold judgement on this team until we get everyone back fully fit (i.e. VVD, Matip and Gomez!)
Full analysis of the accounts as #LFC announce a pre-tax loss of £46 million for the year to 31 May 2020. Total revenues dropping by £43 million to £490 million - an eight per cent fall on the previous 12 months. Wage bill climbs again to £325m External debt up from £50m to £198m as #LFC reacted to uncertainty by utilising loan facilities. £25m payment towards cost of new training ground and further £7.9m paid off the intercompany loan to FSG for Main Stand Commercial success helps soften the blow of big drop in media/matchday revenue. These accounts only cover opening 3 months of the pandemic. The figures for this season will be considerably worse. Total cost of pandemic to #LFC around £120m and rising.
I was talking more about having a world class defence again. Yep, would be nice to have Hendo because but the defence is crucial. Not to mention VVD's leadership, organisation and set piece threat.
As a Chelsea supporter, I think Klopp is a really great Manager and has transformed Liverpool. He's an exceptional man manager and a very likeable ,straight shooter. Like many others, Covid has ****ed his season, plus a couple of prima donnas have cut up rough and underperformed. Usually this would be handled easier, but players and Agents are scrambling for their next contract and Klopp has been blindsided by a few. I expect Liverpool to roar back next year with a small clear out of whingers, and hope both Clubs can roll City and belt Utd.
we have to remember we only lost what? 8 or 9 match days? Our CL money will be not similar this year, we got a round fruther but lost 4 match day revenues and have to have taken a complete bath on the season at home. Remember a further drop of revenue comes from finishing 5th (best) to 8th(likely) so that wipes 30mil or so off as well. the triaing gorund was 50 mil so not sure how we were paying for that previously or if another lot of cash is due.
