Klopp to miss Reds clash with Sunderland
    James Carroll
Liverpool manager Jürgen Klopp will be absent from today's Barclays Premier League fixture against Sunderland at Anfield, after suffering a suspected bout of appendicitis.
First-team duties will be overseen by the remaining members of the coaching staff, including Zeljko Buvac, Peter Krawietz, Pepijn Lijnders and John Achterberg.

Code for 'I'm in ****in' rehab; can't stomach this **** any more!' :emoticon-0102-bigsm

Seriously, these days appendicitis isn't too bad. They can control the inflammation with drugs but if it threatens to turn to peritonitis, more serious, then they'll take it out. Otherwise, they'll leave it where it is.

In my day, during the Victorian era, we were in hospital and out it came. Had mine out when I was 3 and it's one of the reasons I couldn't have children, due to the scar tissue affecting my bits and bobs :( . I have a vague memory in Alder Hey in my cot watching the little girl opposite getting out of her bed to get something from her locker, then later I was chased by the cleaner because I was walking on her clean floor!

    Get well soon, Jurgen! <smooch>

That's me not watching then. He's the only thing worth watching LFC for these days. Do you think that was the plan when we signed him. Get a watchable manager and feck what's happening on the pitch ... THEY'LL COME FOR KLOPP LADS ... and we do

With any luck they're more likely to do the biz for him if he's ill. <ok>

Klopp has had surgery and had his appendix removed. He will probably miss the next two games to recover

HIs appendix will do a better job in goal than Mignolet! <doh> I hope he gets well soon, but if I were him I wouldn't hurry back to that shower!

Our injury record is that bad that even the manager is sidelined.
