He admitted that there was a lot to improve on from the game, but he has faith in the current crop's ability to get better as opposed to bringing in fresh faces just yet...

"I'm not sure how many games you saw like this from Adam Lallana? What do you think? I know him since he was at Southampton and knew he can do 20 to 30 per cent more."

"Philippe Coutinho? Do you not think he can play better football than that? Of course, he can. Lucas? You don't think he can play balls on the right and left? Of course he can."

"Emre Can? Learning between running and passing. He can learn."

After noting all the areas where he feels players could improve, Klopp diverted his attention to the Mr Perfection himself...

"James Milner? The complete football player. The perfect professional. A machine."

    -

Just wait to Klopp has a fit enderson available. I think he will star under Klopp.

I picture Milner in the AM 3 from now on. He could score a lot in Klopps system.

Put him out on the wing and I can see his place in the team.

Personally, I don't see Milner staying here too long - Klopp has to work with these players for rest of the season so he's doing his bit to motivate the players.

Lol - I'm guessing you think Milner has been good this season? He's been awful.

No, just wondered what yor reaction would be considering Klopp is all knowing and he's praised someone you think isn't that great. Wonder if it meant you disagreed with yor hero <whistle>

He hasn't been great the last few games, mainly since Henderson is out and he has a lot of weight on his shoulders, but before that he's been excellent

Milner is the least of our problems at the moment and is becoming a scape goat by some. Covered the most ground out of any one in our team, decent vision and has a goal in him, happy to have him while Henderson is out.

Klopps assessment of Milner sounds about right, that's why City offered him £165k/week to try and keep him. I would expect him to get the best out of Benteke as well instead of just seeing him as a target man.

How about we let Klopp have a few weeks to decide who can do the job he asks of them?

MNF did a good analysis of what improved in only a few days.

I haven't checked but am pretty sure Milner played some part in near enough every game they played.

He's also very fit and looks after himself, two footed, lots of prem. experience, very good footballer. He has had one or two disappointing performances
recently but overall he adds much

Sounds to me like he has had his eye on Lallana in the past and liked what he saw.

You'd be right. Played some part in 31 and 32 league games of last two seasons.

As I've said before. Technically there is nothing special about Milner. His ability and skills are not too impressive... But he is the genetic cross of a bulldog and a shirehorse. Works hard. Never stops chasing. Gives every tackle his all.

He is the direct result of PE coaches telling a kid to "get stuck in".

Whereas he is no Lionel Messi, every team needs a workhorse like Milner to be successful. I don't think he's nearly as bad as most people make out.

Exactly. As long as our midfield isn't made up with only this type of player he's a necessary part of the team.

Milner does his job and does it well. I trust Klopp knows what he's talking about otherwise we're in for more blathering ...
