Free agent Ivan Klasnic has revealed he is open to a move back to the Premier League, with Queen's Park Rangers firm favourites to land the striker, according to reports in Croatia.

The 32-year-old finished as Bolton Wanderers' top scorer last season as they were relegated from the top flight.

Klasnic, who initially made an impact during his time at Bundesliga giants Werder Bremen, before joining the Trotters in 2009, admitted he would like to resolve his future for the new season very soon.

The player told Sportske Novosti: "Right now I'm at home in Hamburg and enjoying time with my family.

"I train everyday because I'm currently waiting to resolve my club status for the new season.

"I'm in no hurry because I'm a free player and I don't have to find a new club by Friday. But I believe I won't be waiting for much longer now.

"I don't have any preferences to which club I want to join, so I will talk with anybody who will call me. We will have to see what happens in the next few days."

    Really hope this is BS

i thought he looked a very tidy player and scored some cracking goals last season (2 against us as well)

Wouldn't mind a one year deal on sensible wages. That said I can't see the need.

No thanks....would be a pointless signing, again pushing wages up further.

Could he cover Zamora's position if need be? Can't remember if he was target man material or not......

Afraid not. More a second striker type.

Pointless? We dont have a target man if Zamora gets injured. Klasnic would be a decent backup option on a 1 year deal.

Id hate to see Cisse or Johnson up front on their own, it would not be pretty.

But I might be wrong though. Klasnic is 1.86 m (6 ft 1 in) compared to BZ who's 1.83 m (6 ft 0 in) according to wiki. Never seen him as a big CF. When he played for Bremen he seemed like the 'second striker'.

I never saw him as a target man at Bolton either, but he seemed sharp and dangerous in the box, as I remember too well from my nightmare trip to Bolton last March! Plus a few other games I saw him in.

Hasn't Klasnic had a couple of kidney transplants in the past?

Maximum respect to him for playing at such a high level with such a physical condition but with that and his age taken into consideration it has to be a No.

he managed to get 10 goals last season in a very poor Bolton side with poor players. Put him in a side that will create chances for him he will get between 10-15 this season

No thank you. Wasn't he the twat who got Clint Hill sent off on opening day last season? Come to think of it, if Leeds didn't get the sewer rat perhaps we could have El Hadj Diouf on a last day freebie as well. That would do a lot for our team spirit.

Hill nutted someone, hes only got himself to blame for that one. It wasnt Norwich type cheating with little or no contact at all.

You're quite right. They look similar and both took drama lessons form a diving instructor. It's still thanks but no thanks from me.

Andy Johnson can play as the lone striker. Didn't he score 25 in one prem season for Palace as the lone striker? Albeit a while ago but with the correct service if Bobby got ****ed I think he'd suffice fine there
