"Tottenham are planning to prise teenage starlet Raheem Sterling away from Liverpool. The 17-year-old is frustrated at his lack of first-team opportunities at Klanfield." (Source: The Daily Fail) That's right. Because Harry is well-known to giving 17 year old kids a good run in the first XI.
I saw this earlier. honestly, why do they print this ****e? There was another report today informing us that we'll have Eden Hazard because his mate said so. So, that's two signings sorted then. Unbelievable Jeff.
If you want evidence of Comolli being an utter berk, look at the deal they agreed with QPR: £600k up front, with add-ons that could tot up to £5m - for someone with no first team experience. If we get him for chickenfeed, it won't be an issue - or maybe a swap deal involving Bostock.
Perhaps there's some truth to the claims that he's pissed off, as he may feel that he should've been given a chance when Suarez was banned and Caroll was playing poorly. I sincerely doubt that he'll want to leave, though and I'm sure he'd go to a club that's likely to pick him if he did. You'd expect him to get some first team games next season too, as Liverpool are pretty much certainties for the Europa League, as their Champions League chances look slim. I'd be surprised if he didn't feature from the bench, at least.
Three: Dos Santos, Bostock and Coulibaly. Anyone ever notice goalkeepers, centre backs or defensive midfielders are never considered to be wonderkids?
i would like to start off a whole new debate here..and it would guarantee arguments....im not up for it today...one for a rainy day i think..
A talented goalkeeper is just as valuable as a talented striker. The number of points dropped by clangers from Walker, Robinson and Gomes over the years doesn't bear thinking about.
Don't know if anyone has noticed but Pool have stopped producing Gerrards and Carraghers, if they're so well off for youngsters why did they buy Jonjo Shelvey.
He is also highly regarded by our chief scout, Ian Broomfield who has watched him several times. Mind you, he is the guy who told Harry to sign Fabian Delph as he would be one of the biggest stars in the PL.
Martin Kelly came through their youth ranks, as did Jay Spearing. So, one with potential, and one with no neck...
Delph's been wracked with injuries since he joined Villa though, SC. He's also a pretty skilful player being managed by an extremely negative manager, which doesn't often end well.
So did Stephen Warnock! they have a few prospects aswell as MK and 'the no-neck hobbit'...then so do most teams.
