"A police inquiry has begun after Newcastle defender James Perch was racially abused on Twitter. Perch was targeted on Sunday, after a clash with Jose Reina ended with the Liverpool goalkeeper receiving a red card during the side's 2-0 loss. Durham Police said they were looking into the case."

i think its always been there...just being highlighted due to the suarez/Evra incident........and to be honest i got no sympathy for a provocative dikhed like Evra whos busy saying niger this niger( i dont see the point in cencoring this word since everyone is obsessed with it) that on a youtube video yet is crying foul play.

like Croydon says..its always been there...i bet it happens closer to home than Merseyside.
 
Football fans reflect society. We do have ways and means of dealing with racists when they air their pitiful views, but on the whole I think we are a million miles away from the bad old days. As for the scousers, what do you expect? The idea of acceptable behaviour up there seems way different to ours.
