Kit is rumoured to be changing his name to Kris Kringle in readiness for his next job. To get some practice in he switched on the fairy lights at Thames Ditton last week. No, seriously, Kit and his mate Cookie Coleman were at Colchester over the weekend watching them beat Altrincham 3 -2 in the 2nd round of the Cup. Colchester are currently without a permanent manager and the real rumour is that Kit will be offered the job. There is a previous connection of course. Back in 2008 Kit joined them as assistant to Geraint Williams and took over as caretaker manager when Williams was sacked in the Autumn of that year. He had wanted the job full-time, and made a reasonable start with two wins in five games but instead the post went to Paul Lambert. Small world isn’t it? Anyway, good luck to Kit. This is probably the sort of job he should have ‘cut his teeth’ on first off.
Don't know what happened with the Colchester job but Kit was in for the one at Leyton Orient and, unbelievably, has lost out to the 'chicken impersonator' Kevin Nolan. Nolan has joined them on a two-and-a half year contract as Player/Manager. Source: http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/35370534
Think the key is the player manager bit - could probably still do a job at that level. Kit's playing days are long gone.
