This was posted on the web: http://www.fulhamfc.com/news/2015/may/20/manager-video If that is the case, good luck. So far I have not renewed my ticket and probably will not either. Playing a Sanchez style of football is not my cup of tea. Stability is crucial to the club but not to my expense! Maybe the wounds from the last campaign are sore but the humiliation we have encountered under Symons is beyond belief. And no, it's not Magath's fault!
Doubt if you needed the question mark in the title Madness. He’s here to stay .... for now. Not at all sure from this that Kit’s actually learned anything positive from last season’s experience. Despite the 4/5 loan players he praises, we still shipped goals - hardly an endorsement for his understanding of a “solid base”. And in any event a “solid base” will quickly be over-turned by poor tactics and irrational substitutions. Strange timing to post the interview as well - do they honestly believe it will boost the, currently poor, number ST sales?
I after 37 yrs I will not be renewing my season ticket. In those distant gloomy day when we were cash, and supporter strapped, the then chairman JH and the supporters bonded together, until proven otherwise the current management in their blind endorsement of KS show a complete lack of ambition. When MAF appeared on the scene, all guns blazing there was a feeling of better things to come, this I do not see with Kahn, there will be his supporters who will say give him time but how long does he need. Lets face it if you are a club chairman it is going to cost you, and where is the parachute payment monies, as yet, under Kit it looks like another season of lonees and past it replacements.
My heart is Fulham and the decision not to renew is not taken lightly, but is the only way to show that I am not pleased with the way things are managed. I agree with rosc! Will not renew even at half price. Btw, two tickets gone as will not be renewing my daughter's either.
Come watch a game Mr Shahid Khan, Come and you'll see that we're ****, But we're all in the mood for promotion oh, And it's not going to happen with Kit
Well, for the life of me, can’t not renew. Reckon they’ll put on my tombstone - He survived all the B’s at Fulham Buckingham, Bulstrode, Bracewell 'Struth, he even survived Dicks. And anyway, doubt if there hasn’t been a season in nearly my Jubilee when I haven’t had a persistent moan about something - even Sir Roy upset me at times Part of the fun of being a fan! The only years that were moan-free were probably 1975 (Cup Final) and 2010 (Cup Final) - yeah, call me a Glory Hunter. No question, the last two seasons have been up there, ranking with the Golden Boot for Moans. And with Kit still in charge, next year looms ominously large on the scale. But, but … you just never know. And if I were to miss out on a miracle, I couldn’t live with myself.
Good luck to you Cottager, wished we could have met at MP, if only to moan about a club we feel so passionate about
Thanks rosc. When I read you weren’t going to renew my first thought was that you’d lose the freebies to Motspur that comes with a season ticket. And I won’t hide the fact that they were a fair incentive in my decision to get one. But hey, I’m sure there will still be chances to catch up - even it’s only on here.
For the coming Seasons I am not expecting us to compete for automatic promotion, if we get lucky we might scrape into the playoffs once now & again. At present I don't see us having the squad to compete with teams who already have far better squads then us. I think we have now slipped down to a mid-table Championship team, I don't see our present Manager or Executives being able to entice the quality of players we need to make us a top Championship club (We got lucky with McCormack). Our Chairman hasn't shown me any reason to think he is capable of doing what MAF accomplished in taking a undesirable club and making them a top division club, by appointing the right (charismatic) managers to run the club and bring in players who would otherwise not have come to Fulham.
It does seem that we are going with Kit and I think the timing is an attempt to quash all the rumours of getting a replacement. I'd like him to do well but I just can't see it. I thought he spoke a load of tosh in that interview. I reported some time ago our link to McCarthy but I've not heard anything since. At the time he'd fallen out with some of his Board and they wanted him away - but since then they've got to the play offs and perhaps things have changed. I've renewed my ST - I go with a group of 9 of us and we've all renewed bar 1. He will have to get off to a flying start or he'll get a hell of a lot of stick. I'll draw a line and support him - he's proper Fulham so I suppose I can justify him another chance.
Saw several articles stating than Jurgen Kloop could be the new Brentford manager this seems an ambitious move for a club with resources in squillions less than FFC have in their coffers , I personally would not mind seeing their cast off at the Cottage helm.
Anybody know the story behind Terry Burton's appointment; where he fits in, what support he'll give Kit. when the Club will make an announcement ??
Hasn't he always been involved with youth and U21 football, if he is the same Terry Burton who was at Arsenal. So I'd expect Peter Grant to lose his post.
Although I did want a change of manager this summer what I wanted a hundred times more was investment in the squad, I want to see a couple of marquee signings, let's say a defensive midfielder for £5 million and right back for £5 million chuck in a few decent other signings like Husband at left back. We need to spend £15 million and not on 15 £1 million players but on three £5 million pound players, we have 5 or 6 good championship players add 3 or 4 top signings and we have a chance. Khan doesn't even have to spend we can fund it through player sakes
