I know that MON has proven himself several times already with other clubs and his reputation is that of a top manager.

He has nothing to prove, it's already done.

    However.....

His coming to Sunderland could be the best move for him and be the defining point of his career as a manager.
All the signs are right for him.
He's an SAFC fan since childhood.
He is taking over an underperforming club which has everything going for it (crowds, stadium etc)
Short and Niall will back him up with funds, especially after the impact he's made since taking over from Brucie.

Records will show he has taken over a club failing in the premier league and in a real danger of relegation, turning it into a solid premier club and I would be very suprised if we didn't finish a constant top 8 from next year onwards.

We all know SAFC can be a big club and we all know everything is there for it to happen.
It nearly happened under Reidy and I believe it will happen under MON.

This combination of SAFC and MON is made in heaven. It is destiny.

I'm certain MON loves this club of ours and he is already becoming a legend with the fans.
I believe this is the right time for him and us.
Had he been appointed instead of Keane I reckon it wouldn't have been the right time, same with Bruce. We needed to come through those years, as did MON as well as his time away from footy.

We are ready for him and he is ready for us.

We will be MON's biggest success and when he eventually leaves he will be a truly great SAFC legend, maybe greater than his hero Charley Hurley.
