You can see he's got some sort of strapping/tight shorts on to hold everything together under his kit. It's probably not a bad one.
When I was in the Army I was stationed in Sharjah for a year. 1969. Dubai was about 20 minutes down the road. The change in both places is phenomenal. To cross the water in Dubai you had to get a local in a rowing boat to row you over. The Main Street in Sharjah was a dusty track, not a proper road. Now they are both ultra modern cities with fantastic facilities.
Don;t mention Seaburn - anyone remember Julio Arca getting a jellyfish sting and missing a game because of it!!
