Travelling over from Ireland to visit the Harry Potter Studios and staying in Kings Langley. Is anyone familiar with the area? Any ideas as to other things to do nearby? Flying in and out of Luton Airport and will have a hire car.

Nothing to do in King's Langley but Hemel Hempstead is two stops on the train, things to do there.

Wouldn't hang around Luton to long, it's a dump.

Drop in for a cup of tea.

Failing that, Hemel has an ice rink (assuming it's still there) and bowling. Watford is nearby by train or car and marginally more exciting in terms of pubs and eating out. Would just go to London though- half an hour or so direct from KL to Euston.

Kings Langley has little to offer. There's a reasonably nice pizza place called Oscars worth a look, you could also try the indoor ski slope in Hemel Hemstead two miles down the road. If you have the time, you are far better off jumping on a train and heading into London. Luton has only two major plus points, they are the airport and Luton's location right on the M1 motorway. Both of those enable a rapid exit from Luton.

Staying in a hotel in Kings Langley but with no breakfast included in the rate. What's the name of the nice little cafe/wine shop which is good for breakfast?

We're booked into the Premier Inn in Kings Langley. Will have to check that cafe out. Two honourable mentions now for Oscars. My kids love pizza so will definitely try that out.
