Heard something earlier today that he was going to quit. I think he was getting out before he got the bullet.

 

Seems Lawro expects Dogleash to be safe. Just got this off the BBC page.

Wouldn't take any notice of the dumb so and so's predictions but he's probably got inside information about Dogleash.

 

Wouldn't mind getting inside info on Dogleish's daughter.... Well worth a go.

 

Reckon they would get Capello if Dalglish was to walk, would prefer him to stay and make more terrible signings and have another average season.

I'd be very surprised if he jacked in after one season. From the americans point of view, you spend 100M on behalf of the guy on his recommendations, and then allow him to walk or sack him after one season? That would be very foolish indeed. Any manager needs 3 years in the job before you can really judge him. If they are still languishing around 8th-10th after 3 years then fair enough.

I'd expect them to be a better team next year and a lot more competitive in the league. They have a number of promising younger players and it always takes a season for foreign players to settle and a team to gel. Unless you're Newcastle United!

I hope they don't get Capello because that would be almost guaranteed to end in success given he is one of the worlds best managers. And I wouldn't want them getting Martinez either.
