At first as I was reading this it frustrated me, who the hell do these ppl think they are? Then in the scheme of things I thought...they're nobodies. A two-bob agent and a player who hasn't really earned a contract better than what he has been offered. I take it his 3 Swedish clubs haven't offered very good terms. Imo he'll come to nothing.

He’s 20 and hasn’t got close to a run of games.

I’d cut him loose personally, I just dint see him making it.

Tricky one, maybe he just doesn't see a path to the first team here. After all he finally got around the squad, then got a goal, then suddenly just seemed to be cast out. At his age he'll want to be starting to play regular football. We all say he's raw, but he'll need to be playing if he's to work on that.

Mind I do think there's also a bit of an expectancy that he'll suddenly get some mint offer. Maybe he's seen what Maja, and to a lesser extent Asoro got and thought he'd easily get the same. He's just not done enough to warrant any attention. At this point with the season starting he should probably accept our offer and at least have the chance of some football, he can't afford to miss a season. Can't see where he gets in if he does though, other than maybe as an occasional last ten minutes "**** it let's try Kimpioka"

I'm fully with the club and Parky on this, and that's not being said much in these days.

Ok I’ll preface this by saying that I don’t get to games and have only seen Benny Boy on the telly and not very often at that. But from what I have seen of him I think that he’s not the footballer he or his agent think he is. Yes he has talent but so do a lot of others who appear to just put their head down and get on with it.

Aye, he's not great. Mind there were a couple of games where he came on and just offered something different. Then he got a goal which will have boosted his confidence, then he was never seen again!

Maybe he'd improve if we actually played him or sent him on loan or something. Instead we do this weird, almost blackmailing "sign a new deal or we'll never play you" thing (which I thought Parkinson was ignoring when he got him in the squad before he suddenly discarded him). We're better off just letting the lads play and hoping that them seeing a path to the first team might convince them to sign. Dropping them when they might be able to offer something to the squad and then seeming annoyed that they aren't rushing to sign a new deal doesn't sit well with me tbh. Why would he sign when we've got nearly a full squad and no obvious place for him? The lad needs first team football at his age or he'll never progress, if we aren't offering him it then he's probably right to try and find something else

I agree with the point you're making but surely if you want to get noticed and try and work your way into the first team squad, wouldn't it be better to actually hang around the club, put the effort in in training and force the manager into playing you rather than just training over in Sweden?

Yeah, but now his contract is officially up he's got no reason to be here tbh, and according to them it's the club who suggested he stay in Sweden so god knows what the truth is. He's got his contract offer from safc , doubt it'll be changed much due to better training performances or owt.

Knowing what we do about Donald , we've probably offered him a low deal (we need to offer something to get compensation) and might not be arsed about him coming back (hence saying he can stay in Sweden). He's probably waiting and hoping for a much better deal knowing that he's got a low offer from us and that he isn't really wanted, but is finding he's not as in demand as he hoped! With the amount of cost cutting and short term thinking we've had, including selling Mumba, I can't believe the club really want a lad to stay who they could get compensation for when he isn't near the starting eleven. I might be cynical of course.

Watched him a fair few times in the rezzies, and I have to say I don't think he is all that good. Maybe he is looking at how it played out with Maja but he is nowhere near that level. If he hasn't bothered to come back from Sweden I'd let him go. No great loss from what I've seen on cold night in Hetton!

Even though I’ve said he’s not the best, the club also isn’t the best in bringing youth through. Bali Mumba for one. Not good enough for us yet straight into a championship team. There will be others as well but it’s rare that a youngster comes through the ranks and gets long term first team experience with us. We seem to just keep them in the under 23s or whatever they were for ever then tell them they aren’t good enough.

If he's in Sweden, he may as well stay there for now, rather than coming back and quarantined for 14 days.

Completely agree. Yes he looks like he doesn't know what to do with the ball, but surely that's why we coach these kids. He's a Swedish u21 international so he must have something about him. He's come on and looked lively in a couple of games and scored a goal. Surely he could be an option off the bench in league one? Of course he's far from the finished article but look at some of the **** we play against . Must be better having him around the first team squad, bringing him on from time to time and trying to develop him rather than leaving him in the worlds worst u23 team! I wouldn't be rushing to sign a new deal if I was him , not unless I had some pretty cast iron guarantees that I'd get a look in. He's 20 years old now , he can't be playing in the u23 side of a league one club

I got to 3 or 4 under 23 games for each of the 3 seasons before last season and completely agree with you.

Kimpioka should be nowhere near a regular starter in the first team and if he is looking at Maja and Asoro, and what they have achieved, he is going to be disappointed. To be honest he couldn't lace their boots in the comparable stages in careers.

I said in a previous post that he should be nowhere near being a regular first team starter, but I do agree with you he is worth a place on the bench, if only for his unpredictability. Coming off the bench he could just about grab a goal or get a penalty when he is playing against tired legs.

Aye, like yourself I normally get to a few u23 games each season and he's certainly not great. But like I say the current u23 side is so poor that having him there is no use at all. His unpredictability makes him a half decent option off the bench if we're struggling. Thing is, we've now got so many options that he probably knows he's not getting a real look in if he signs an extension here.

    He is utterly horrendous.

Should be told there no contract. Get out.

Like I've said b4, players like him are 10 a penny, I just hope my O.P. line of "he'll come to nothing" isn't my Alan Hansen moment.<doh>
