I just have the feeling that with the Ferrari's lack of pace and the Hamilton departure, added to Lotus's new wing at Japan, Kimi has a great chance of securing a second WDC. He's been very consistent this year and with this 'perfect storm' he surely has to be a strong contender. I think he'll pick up his first win of the season in Japan and one more before season's end, and with another few podiums it should be enough for him. Thoughts?
I'd be tempted to say Kimi's got a great chance but it depends on how far behind Alonso he is after Japan. Remember, he's not that far in front of Hamilton. If he gets a good points haul in Japan, then anything's possible.
I think he needs a miracle tbh. The time in which he and Lotus should have won seems to have passed them by.
Afraid to say that Kimi's chances of winning the WDC are pretty slim, unless Lotus bring updates like McLaren did for Germany I think he will probably end up finishing fourth which is a shame as he as driven superbly this year I think Lotus have made some glaring errors regarding strategy which has at times cost him
If he drove in 2010 and 2011, i think he'd be leading. His "lack of experience" in the last 2 years has cost him a few wins, and I think that Lotus is better than they made out in the first few races.
I'd love it - 2007 all over again! Can't see it myself and the more competitive he is, the more it play not Vettles hands!
