Apparently the inspirational midfielder has the choice of five clubs when he returns from international action(???) with Australia. He is wanted by Ipswich, Nottingham Forest, Burnley, Hull and Bristol City!!!

Surely a late bid from Barcelona is imminent????

I can see him sitting on the bench for Forest, Ipswich or Burnley for a few hundred quid more then we were offering.

Wat people seem to keep forgetting, is that Killa is only 23/24 so he's got a lot more to give. When he's 27/28 he could well be a very good player. His style is slow passing, picking the right ball, where as at Leeds atm its give the ball to Naylor or Bromby to launch a 60 yard ball to Max Gradel

He's 25 and I'm pretty sure he's not going to be "very good" whatever that means! In the big games he gets picked off to easily because of the amount of time he wants on the ball. Any quality manager will know to close him down immediately. That's why he passes the ball back to the CB to hoof it up field.

Gerrard hit his peak at 28/29 so Killa still has a few years before he reaches that age. Close him down early yes, but when he's in space, created by himself or by good players around him unlike Howson and Johnson, he can cause damage

Killkenny is not that good. On the one hand, he's a reasonable passer of the ball. That's about it. He hasn't got much energy & he can't/won't get stuck in. The sides he maybe going to support the theory he ain't going up in the world, unlike Beckford who went to a decent premiership club.

Fair point Itsa. Messi or Killkenny? Tricky choice.

Agree with the above, he can pick a pass very well and despite only getting five assists, that figure doesn't do justice to how many goals his passing has helped create. Then again, he's a one-dimensional player and totally replaceable, so there's no need to panic about having no playmaker yet.

Kilkenny cant tackle, wont tackle. yes on his day he could pick that killer pass. But he is to soft, scared to get stuck in and win the ball. thats why he's aimimg to play for a lesser club they mite make him look good. if he had any quality a decent team would be looking to sign him, no disrespect to Forest.

Kilkenny is essentially Jonny Howson but without the ability to run and shoot and the desire to play for Leeds.

I've never understood where this Kilkenny passing myth came from. He plays the easy pass all the time, this means he doesn't give it away much but it's not often he plays an amazing ball. He's done it ocassionally, but is a very average player. Can't run with the ball, shoot or defender. He's a passenger.
