Heard a wee rumour about this last night, probably been around for a while but it's new to me.

    So what's the gossip?

    First I've heard of it.

Walking sticks and zimmer frames are also classified as aids.

Is this another attempt to lure people to the site Mick? :D

I heard he only has four toes on his left foot. That disrupts his balance and causes him to lean slightly to the right when he runs, which is why he gets so many injuries.

I thought he leant to the right because he thought they were going to shoot to his left.

I remember when he was out injured for ages and then kept "breaking down" in training. At the time, I think it was Souness, said that he had a medical condition and the medication that he had to take was affecting his ability to train. There was a rumour that he was HIV but this was denied by the club.

I've heard it was either HIV or hepititus which he caught while playing for NUFC, it was only a rumour but he has spent alot of time injuried (admittedly 2 broken legs is a pretty good excuse).
He allegedly caught it while on a pre season trip, can't remember where (Far East rings a bell).

Then passed it on to Ashton and that's why he had to retire.

Yeah I heard this rumour many moons ago and Newcastle used one of his many injuries to cover up his treatment for it.

I would of posted it on the old 606 back then but it would of been removed before any responses could be made.

Is it true?? Quite possibly as I could imagine Dyer having the attitude that 'bare back' is the only way to go

When he was here there were strong rumours that he had hepititis and that the meds he was on for it weakened his muscles thats why he had so many strains etc...

Wouldn't be surprised if it was hepetitus considering his habit!!

Was talking to a friend of a freind who is a Boro support, who reckond both Woodgate and Downing both had a huge habit when they were at Boro and that is one of the main reasons they moved them on. It was effecting them as people and players, and the one selling it to them was one of the local gangsters which ended up being Woodgates bodyguard.

Gibson wouldn't stand for that kind of nonsense, it would have been him that had them moved on.
