So Harry has let the former ipswich star go. Did he ever manage to hit the heights after leaving us. One of many that left us looking at being stars and flopped. Eg. Brazil. Dozzell. Bramble. Wright. Who else can we add to the list.

Wouldn't call Bramble a flop, he amassed a lot of appearances in the prem, not saying he was outstanding, but he did play a lot.

Ok. Lets rephrase it slightly. Didn't fulfill the promise they showed with us.

The difference being between the others Dyer did reach the heights but it was just the injuries, whenever he's played bar the past couple of years his performances have still been very high, despite the injuries. Wright made the wrong career choices and Bramble always has a mistake in him but has amassed a fair amount of PL appearences!!

Have you not heard, we are no longer a retirement home for ageing and unfit footballers. The sign was taken down when Jewell left. Dyer was a good dedicated player for us, and think he still has a soft spot for us, the only justification for bringing him back would be, be paid only when you play. Over the last few years his playing attendance has been poor, obviously because of injuries. There is no sentiment in football, nor should there be, thanks, but no thanks.

MAYBE on a pay as you play until the end of the season, nothing else!

Wrighty didn't set the world alight but he's hardly been a flop. Even now he has Tevez, Aguero, David Silva, Dzeko and Balotelli take pot shots at him! I'm sure that we missed him a lot more than he missed us.

Dozzell certainly wasn't a flop at Spurs and Bramble was ropey at first but matured at Wigan and cut out the errors.

The only player who was a real star for us who really went on to flop over the past twenty years or so was Chrissy Kiwomya.

As for Dyer, as I've said on other threads, he was the best in the business running at defenders but other areas of his game were always weak.
