    proud to help

With the help of Sheringham carnival chairman and former first team manager Stuart McClean, Mr Doy has organised the match and fun day as part of a “Kick Cancer” appeal.

Well done Stu, you are a star..<ok>

I have just been given the all clear from a very rare Cancer of the appendix and emotionally and psychologically it has been hell and that's not including recovering from the operation. Looking at my girls my every thought each day was ****, what if the worst happens.

I really admire lads like you..

More Arthur Fowler than Arthur Jackson mate... I get up to all sorts of no-good in mine.

It's funny, the reality couldn't be further from these fabricated tales, I saw a tube shaped huge spider web last time I went in there, since then, I've chosen to lob things in from 10 feet away, if anything needs to come out, I send the Mrs in to get it <laugh>

I was trying to catch a big spider in the bedroom last night, got it in the end like. Apparently they come in during the day through open windows looking for a mate. I know I've done a few things in my time but I'm not that kinky like <whistle>

I know mate, I go round shutting windows about 30 seconds after the Mrs opens them. She's going "You've just dropped a right stinker in the bathroom, leave the ****ing window open, and I'm saying "Nah, **** that, it'll go anyway, I'm not having spiders in the bathroom".

We've a load of stuff in a cupboard at the top of the stairs, waiting to go in the attic for the summer, winter clothes and that, I'll get round to it once a guest pops over for a coffee and I collar them to get up the ladders with it... I'm never going up there. <laugh>

i have been chairman of the carnival for the last five years its a wonderful thing as it brings people into our town all year as we are active throughout ,since last year i have enabled 25 people to be trained as first call first aiders ,15 fire marshals and 22 who have defibulator certs and 7 have also become first responders as well, next month we have the sheringham and cromer crab and lobster festival followed by our harley davidson weekend which sees 450 bikes come into the town for the afternoon, anybody who is in the area at any time get in touch and i will advise whats on and when or visit sheringham carnival .com.
Back to the charity game this weekend we hope to raise £5000 plus for the cause,i will be the manager of sheringham after playing over 500 games for the club and also manager for about 4 years,i have got 36 players to try and give a kick to on sunday which wont be too hard as they must all be 35 plus to qualify which means most will be gasping for breath after ten mins.

With my wife (shown) and daughter involved its a family affair ,north norfolk and my town sheringham is a wonderful place to live.

Sounds and looks like you have a lot of fun pal, that's what's most important.

As for the charity thing, every time anybody helps raise money, we get a step closer to finding a way to beat it, congrats mate.

Watch out for them Cromer Crabs, they're not easy to shift.

Congratulations on your efforts Stu, and having a fit wife. Why's she with an ugly sod like you, I wonder?

    Raincoat found near Blackpool.

    Soaking, drenched, saturated.
