I am very satisfied with this decision. I am convinced we have to see the best of Ki to come. High passing accuracy and has adapted our style very well. But he has to improve his finishing and he has to dare shooting a lot more. Link http://www.clubcall.com/swansea-city/swans-plan-ki-stay-1623629.html
Sanity would appear to have triumphed. If you follow the ClubCall link you will discover that Swans' are "linked",(I hate that word, doesn't mean a thing really),with Parma "stopper",Tunisian International,Yohan Benalouane. That's a name I haven't come across before. Anyone heard anything about this? Dai where are you?
Sorry Valley but the article doesn't exactly say he's staying if you read the last line? More like we are prepared to send him on loan which is what was reported ref the Sunderland interest! No change here I'm afraid, as I do agree with you. i believe the boy has a lot to offer.
Correct decision. A good footballer - but he needs to lift his game to the next level to be a regular in the team. Lets hope he can do it. We will have planty of games this season to accommodate all our squad
Taylor is out for the next 4 to 6 weeks. So letting Ki go out on loan could come back to haunt us as others in midfield start to drift in performance or fitness. Ki is a known quantity and I have no reservation about playing him.
It's either Huw playing hardball on the transfer fee, or he really is staying, though Jenkins does not seem clear cut on the issue, the frase "I expect him to stay" could mean anything, so little change in my view, hope Laudrup starts using him, as he's far better than De Guzman!.............
Expect Ki to go out on loan, Laudrup has lost confidence in ki due to 2 things, his attitude has been very poor on the training ground and his fitness is not what is expected from a player of his calibre, there is a problem with laudrup and ki, laudrup does not have much confidence in ki as i understand it a loan with an option to buy him next summer
I do get a feeling about Ki that his mind is not 100% with Swansea and football but I dont know if it's real. It does seem as he's been having quite a turbulent year since he arrived, both football and non-football related.
The basic worry here is us giving a decent player to one of our rivals! its complete madness if you ask me. Why make the opposition stronger? he could score a goal or make a pass that could have a massive say in where we finish in the league. I see sunderland as a rival to us at the moment so why should we make them more competitive ? I hope he stays but from what ive heard he needs to really buck his ideas up and get down to proving himself not sulking
Do you think we will be their WBA ?? They done us with Heggs, beatie and to a lesser extent Moore !... Yes we sold them DG but I think there were issues there that meant it was only a matter of time until he really ****ed up his career with us, we couldn't wait to get rid of him ! There is still potential with Ki sung IMO , as I said before though, Ki is not a Laudrup signing so he is on very thin ice if he steps out of line here, I bet the club arnt too happy about this either, thats another one of their players(club scouts) being put out to pasture by the looks of it . Maybe its a kick up the Arse perhaps, a bit of tough love, I certainly hope so
I was taking the pith with the DG comment! If we sell them Ki I think they will get the better deal. Let's hope not.
Many times. Easily our most creative and prolific midfielder not named Michu last season. Contributed massively more than the Korean shirt salesman. Don't tell me, you're another one of the people who thinks a Dutch international midfielder is crap. Plenty of you about. All twp.
Yes, I think he's crap for the most part and I'm not twp. Dutch international football is on the wane and they are nothing like the force they were a few years back. He wouldn't have got anywhere near those sides. De Guzman has ability but he's not prepared to put in a shift. His reluctance to do his share of the off-ball work puts his colleagues under pressure and destroys our shape. I first saw evidence of this against Stuttgart at the Liberty when Leon was giving him a right bollocking for his failure to do his job. I commented on this some time ago. I put it down to everybody being strangers to each other and expected it to improve. It did but not to the necessary degree. JdG is a talented player but, in my opinion and the opinion of a number of pundits and reporters, he disappears from games far too easily. This puts pressure on his team mates and I can imagine they'll start letting Laudrup know about it if they haven't already. He's got to change his attitude and the sooner the better.
Is he crap or is he a talented player? Would help if you could stick to one argument in a single post. Time after time last season twps got on JdG's back. Time after time he chipped in with valuable goals and assists. Saying he's crap is like saying Leon is 6'8". Obvious nonsense.
