I've just read a report that former Everton player and current Everton coach Kevin Sheedy has been diagnosed with bowel cancer. Kevin Sheedy actually started his career in the red of Liverpool and was Ian Rushes strike partner in Liverpools reserves in a team that also included future Everton captain Dave Watson. Sheedy left Liverpool for Everton in 1982. Lets put rivalry aside and wish him a speedy recovery.
Well done lads, showing some class here with theses posts. Good luck from us "foreigners" here too hope he has a speedy recovery.
Even though in 1985, whilst at Everton he gave the KOP the bird, they probably deserved it. This is different, he's one of a number of player to have have represented both clubs. We have to give him the same support and acknowledgements our blue brothers gave Gary Ablett(RIP) when he was ill.
Echo what everyone else has said, Bowel cancer saw off my old nan, but Kevin has age on his side, and hopefully he has the grit to beat this. I'm sending positive thoughts to him and his family.

He also featured for Newcastle United, Blackpool and the Republic of Ireland during his trophy-laden playing career.
