http://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/sp...anting-in-friendly-match-with-Pro-Patria.html About time somebody did it, well done to KPB for setting an example. There are also reports that rest of fans in the ground started to get pissed off and confronted the racist morons for spoiling their afternoon. Next step is for someone to walk off in a bigger game, then the authorities will really have to start addressing this issue. Also like this tweet from Henry Winter. Henry Winter ‏@henrywinter
About ****ing time. Blatter's recent comments that it can all be settled with a handshake, showed just how out of touch FIFA have been on this issue.
Just for you lads, Kevin-Prince Boateng has kicked a ball at a section of the AC Milan crowd because they were racially abusing him. It's a good job Robin Van Persie wasnt in the crowd, he could have been killed.
Yeh well done to boateng, and yeh i agree, this task should be taken the next time a racial gesture or comment is made to a player during any match. Players themselves do have the power, they can talk about the authorities needing to help and it is true more does need to be done. But i think that if players do start to walk off during competitive games in the league then racism in football especially during matches will be cut out. Still don't understand what boateng is doing at milan though, would love to see him in the prem, it suits his style although i assume he'd cost £25m+.
If FIFA and UEFA had given point deductions or proper fines to these clubs (and national sides) then players wouldn't have had to go this far. Now we just need this to happen in a champions league match. I bet the next fine given out by UEFA is double the previous. They're such a joke organisation. Nothing has changed in terms of the crime, only UEFA will be worried about losing money now.
Platini and Blatter are so out of touch it's ****ing unreal. They typify all that's wrong at the administrative level in football. Two old ****ers who haven't got a clue about the grass roots.
I see that Blatter has had his say on the issue. http://www.guardian.co.uk/football/2013/jan/06/fifa-sepp-blatter-kevin-prince-boateng That would be a change from what they usually do, i.e, some petty fine.
