Hi guys ... Can anyone throw some light on the KP situation as it seems to have gone a tad quiet. I was under the impression he was ready to return and sign up but haven't heard anything for a few weeks. Has it been put on hold due to the departure of MM or have I missed something ?
I think someone said this before ,but having one ex defender and one possible player/assist manager attacker could be a good mix!
Don't all these out of contract players actually become OOC on 1st July, and can't officially move before?
I think this is a good shout. I get the feeling he would have a good mixture of nurturing what needs to be nurtured, and not suffering fools. He is an ambitious lad.
Harrow good point ! I am hoping to see some incomings on july 1st I am sure the back room boys have been busy prepping things , even with the recent upheavals!
I would welcome Super KP back, but like WC said at the top it has gone quiet. I hope its not just a rumour. An older head with an increasingly younger looking team would certainly help
I would like the idea of Kevin Phillips returning to the club. He's exceptionally fit for his age and for a good two years in my opinion will still be able to score goals at this level. Also I can definitely see the prospect of him becoming part of the coaching staff
23 Jun 2011 15:39:11 Kevin Phillips will sign for Walsall tomorrow as player/assistant manager. He wants to stay in the West Midlands because his family are settled in the area. Also he see's Walsall as a good step to get into management. Kevin Phillips will reject contract offers from Watford & Burton Albion
