I was annoyed with what he said cos we as fans did get behind him even when he was going through a barron spell.
He shouldnt have said what he did. Equally i think saints fans reaction to him was out of order and also a bit stupid. Can remember saints fans booing him several times and dinging about his wife often early in games or when the game was no ehere near out of sight. A last minute equaliser for west brom up there sticks out in my mind, & id be pretty sure that the stick he was getting geed him on to get one over us.
Id like to see him get a better reception this season. Everyone makes mistakes, he made one in saying what he said; but in my eyes he's recognised that and put it right in this latest interview. Good player even now.
