Apparently he's rejected a new contract at Newcastle.

I've always rated him as a good holding midfielder, and also someone who gets more than his fair share of goals.

Yes, especially as I think he was playing on the wing for Newcastle quite a bit last season.

Would definetly take him, if he wants to up sticks and move South...

Proven Premeirship player, Captain of Bolton and Newcastle in his time at both clubs.

Should have been playing for England ages ago, they have picked a lot worse...

    Sign him up...

TBH nor can I, but he'd certainly be a great signing, and if he did come to us, it may shut up some of the nay-sayers for a while.....

Toon fans on Talksport reckon he went missing a lot in the 2nd half of the season, whether that's because Pardew is playing him in a different role or he's just out of form it's not an ideal recommendation.

I doubt he would look at us tbh.. He's always been a very well established prem player, maybe next season if we stay up :)

Seeing that we're not actually going to buy any players, isn't it time to start pressganging them?
