As he is a firm favourite on here, im sure you will all be wishing him well and a speedy recovery.

At the end of the first half Bournemouth v Ston, Kev collapsed and also smashed his face on a dugout. Dazed for a bit and a night in hospital eating cabbage soup.

Get well soon Kev, you are a fans favourite.

I'll wait to see what the outcome of the medical facts are before passing judgement - if it's just a "got light headed" moment then HAHAHAHAHA! If he's hod something more serious then the laughing won't be quite as hard - still laugh though!!

George Courtney and Keith Hackett are the only 2 referee's I remember from being a kid - and that was because George Courtney is from Spennymoor and he used to buy his cars from the garage my Dad managed - and he normally referee'd the derbies back then (and he's red and white!)

Keith Hackett more because he's involved higher up now! I truly can't remember any others from the 80's/early 90's

    But from modern(ish) day:

    Andre Marriner
    Michael Oliver
    Graham Poll
    Collina
    Kevin Fiend (not a typo)
    Mark Clattenburg
    Mike Jones
    Robert Madley
    Craig Pawson
    Howard Webb
    Uriah Rennie
    Mike RIley
    Dermot Gallagher
    Steve Bennett

off the top of my head - there's probably loads more and it goes to show how the TV has made the referee's into celebrities too!

I knew George courtney's son ! he was at the same college (Wearside) as me in 1988 doing carpentry and joinery. He used to talk about his dad a lot. Who reffed our game last night ? he was shaving headed he looked like Howard webb but he retired.

I always thought Jeff Winter was a canny referee and always seemed a decent enough bloke too.
