I follow Kristof Terreur on twitter as he seems quite "in the know" regarding Belgian footballers in the premier league. Going by the latest tweets he seems to think De Bruyne will sign for Wolfsburg shortly, for 18M!!!

Negotiations between #CFC & Wolfsburg on K De Bruyne are going in right direction. Some important details still to clear. Deal later today?

Klaus Allofs (Wolfsburg) on De Bruyne: "We aren't in a desperate mood. We would not talk to Chelsea, if we had totally opposing views." #CFC

The negotiations with Wolfsburg are going on, but De Bruyne's still at Cobham. (Pic: @chelseafc) pic.twitter.com/rABjBKnVrr

The bottom tweet being the latest one.

What do people think of this? Given a fair chance? IMO 18M is an excellent price for somebody who's to really achieve too much, although he does have plenty of time still to do that. Just wondering whether others think it's the right time to sell him, if it does happen.

Me and Drogs have been commenting on it in the transfer thread. Looks likely now.

Where are Wolsburg getting their money from? They already bought Luis Gustavo for a hefty fee in the summer.

It seems inevitable after you bought Willian and Schurrle in the summer, there's just no room for him. £18mill's a very good deal too, I'd be surprised if the final figure is that high.

Nothing personal against the lad but honestly don't think he's good enough ! Can't believe 18 mill is the offer. Grab it and run !!!

Good business, but he was never given a chance. Will turn out to be our loss.

Very talented player and offers something different to our smaller trio of trequartistas. Shame

Nice little earner if you ask me! He was a good lad playing in the junior squad , but he was never going to be 1st team material! £18m will make a nice contribution to the striker we must bring on board!

only time will tell, good biz or not.

Remember Matic - he was a sleeper for more than a year after we sold him...
In the last 18 months he is getting quoted more than Luiz..

Guess KDB would fit into that mold. He would take few months to make heads turn consistently.
I hope he doesn't become our loss, but think opposite.

Nice player, very good in FIFA, but £18m is a joke and if it happens it's a FFP scam

He's not even a shiny FFS

I would sell him with the view to placing a buy back clause in his contract or a next sale percentage. Which is what we should have done with Matic. If he becomes a world class talent in the next year or so then we have an option to gain something from it.
