Phil Dowd just bottled a second yellow for a typical Kevin Davies "Nasty Tackle". Why do refs not ewant to give a card for a foul that was worse than the one he was booked for in the first half?
Doesn't make sense does it? Referees will generally look the other way when it comes to issuing the 2nd yellow and just have a word in the ear and say that's your last warning, but shouldn't the 1st yellow have been your last warning? Boggles the mind and how many times do we have to hear when a goal is scored and the commentators say that the player should not still have been on the pitch? Ah well!
I like Kevin Davies, I think he is an hard working player, and the fact that he playing football lower down the leagues rather than seeking a lucrative pay day in a foreign micky mouse league or sitting on the bench somewhere racking in the cash speaks volumnes, but yes he should have been sent off!
