Looking at Newsnow and this interview with Kevin Davies came up:

KEVIN Davies hopes Newcastle United’s Reebok mauling is still playing heavy on their minds when the two sides line up on Saturday.

Wanderers made it an unhappy homecoming for former skipper Kevin Nolan back in October by crashing five goals past the Magpies for the first time in the club’s history.

And heading up to St James’s Park, Davies reckons that result could give the Whites a psychological edge as they look to further their claims for a Europa League spot.

“It was one of those games where nothing went for them, and everything for us,” said the man currently in possession of the captain’s armband.

“I’m sure everyone who was involved will be keeping it the back of their heads somewhere.

“We know going to Newcastle will be difficult but we’ve just proved we can win two on the trot away.

“The confidence is back in the side now so it’s a game we’re looking forward to.”

The 5-1 victory pushed the Whites temporarily into a Champions League position and while those lofty heights have proved unsustainable, a top six finish is still very much within reach, according to Davies.

“We had the sticky spell around Christmas time and still found ourselves in that position in the league,” he said.

“You win games, even if it’s in the cup, and it breeds confidence. The manager has changed the team round, so that confidence is going right throughout the squad now.

“It's up to us now to keep things going for the rest of the season in the league and the cup. But we fancy our chances of a positive result.”

Who exactly will figure up front on Tyneside is a matter of much conjecture, with Sunday’s cup hero Ivan Klasnic coming up against pressure from the returning Daniel Sturridge for a starting place.

Davies believes Klasnic’s goal at Fulham proves he is getting back to his best form, but with Sturridge also boasting three goals in his last three appearances for the Whites, there are no shortage of options at Owen Coyle’s disposal.

“We see it week in, week out in training with Ivan,” he said of the Croatian’s winner at Craven Cottage. “That's why he's in the side – anything inside the box, he's an unbelievable finisher.

“He pounces on anything that drops in and around that area and it was a great finish against Fulham.

“That's two in two for him and there's a lot of competition now. As well as Ivan (Klasnic), there is Daniel Sturridge and Johan (Elmander), so there's one or two headaches for the manager but I'm sure he'll be pleased to have them.”

If he's seriouls hoping a result from November is still going to be playing on our minds he's got to be clutching at straws, did he not see the come back against Arsenal???

If anything we'll look back on the Bolton result with the attitude of "Let's not let that happen again", and as Davies himself says "everything went for us that day, and nothing went for them" let's hope it's the other way around this time.
Had it been the season we got relegated then I would have said, yes that result would have played on are minds. But not now.

Come 5 O'clock on Saturday hopefully we will have put that 5-1 result right. We're in
    9th for a reason.

I'm shaking in my shoes at the thought of playing Bolton again! NOT!

We had a bad day at the office but that's behind us now and I'm sure our guys will want to make amends for that day!

I'm looking forward to a win and expect a 2-1 in quite a Close Encounter.

Obviously got the 2 mixed up the fool <laugh>

We've had some seriously big results at home this season, and with their away record you'd have to fancy getting something from this one.
