Spark!
I've got reservations about this one but it's more about gut feeling than conclusive evidence.I just think he's an expensive journeyman.I hope I'm proved wrong.

No dont know this for a fact but it was quite widely reported in the media, Rangers also stated he would have to drastically reduce his wages to come back.

Good morning all.

Sparkey, I have to share ITIWRAN's (how ya doin' Bob?), on this one. I'd rather hoped we'd passed the stage of recruiting lost souls and journeymen. Still I suppose MM is having to build virtually from scratch in all aspects - personnel, tactics and attitudes! Let's hope he's up to the challenge. I am encouraged by his use of the phrase "my club". Let's hope he can instill the same in the players.

Morning Bobby & Clingo - got my reservations as well TBH, but Miller CAN score goals, he's proved it.

BTW, Ace - I'm trying my best with the Wurzels, but I think I'll need a hand over there if we're ever going to wake them up.

I think Proph set a question and it proved this is the real clingo.

Mentioned on another thread, that at the game last night the gossip was subject to a medical it was a "done deal" now whether this was a forest "done deal" or the real thing I don't know, but the rumours were pretty consistent.

On the subject of rumours, I heard that unless Ipswich come up with a massive offer Whitts is going nowhere, this was from a normally reliable source and was borne out by the way MM wanted to play last night, Whitts is obviously a big part of his plans and looks like MM wants to use him as the main playmaker <ok>

Back on thread - don't forget Malky knows Miller from his Scottish history (not sure if he played with him) and Malky is not renowned for splashing cash unecessarily - maybe it's a Jock thing. His time at Derby apart, Miller has a goal per 3 games track record so if he notched 15 minimum for us with Earnie and Whitts weighing in with similar tallies and Mason gets a few that puts well on track goals scored wise.

Wages could be an issue but I guess the owners will have given a steer on that. Last night showed we desperately need more fire power and he could well be the man although a different way of playing will be needed.

BfB!
Why would he give up a rumoured £50,000 a week two an a half deal after just over six months with the Turkish clubs blessing?

Does make you wonder what we are paying him.

Miller is unhappy in Turkey, his wife & daughter couldn’t settle and went home, he's looking for a move back to the UK so they can be together.

He's likely to take a drop in wages, he just want's out.

The phrase that struck me was "He's a top footballer and getting better and better." At 31 how much better can a player get?
3 in 1 is an okay return but at 31 surely he is only going to slow down. Really not sure if the rumoured £800k is money well spent tbh. But he will be a hero if he comes on board and scores a hat full.
