Might have been a possibility;) Unfortunately we needed a swift resolution to the vacancy and didnt have time for a drawn out process! as we have the pre season looming and still need more players in and get them watford fit! We have a lot of Kids and SD knows them well! He was in the situation we were in ,the best choice!

    I sort of agree Norway.

Sean is a good coach, an intelligent and confident individual, and perhaps most importantly of all, used to listening. All good attributes in a manager. I think it was important to keep him at the club at any cost, and I'm not convinced that there was any manager out there good enough to compensate for his loss.

SD is a good appointment given our financial situation. He is one for passion and winning through that passion, rather than canny transfer manoeuvres and attractive on-field play, I would imagine.

If we could get our finances straight - and for that we need an owner that isn't intent on squeezing every penny out of the club with 'loans' (thank you 'Watford fan' Simpson and Cashcroft for that) - I would like to see KJ return to the club in the future as I believe he could continue his legendary Watford status as manager again.
