Right guys, before anyone jumps the gun I am not her on a wind up nor am I looking to annoy anyone. This is a genuine discussion and one I hope stays on topic and without the childish nonsense.

    Anyway...

It doesnt take a genius to know Kenny Dalglish is a hero to Liverpool fans but from an outside perspective I would like to ask you a question.

Would you like Kenny to step down in the summer?

I ask because after Kenny admitted he was behind all your recent transfers and your current slump in the league is he risking his reputation as a Liverpool hero? It may be the case that to yourselves Kenny Dalglish's reputation on Merseyside is so great that no matter what he does now will matter, its what hes already done but for the younger fans especially he could quite easily be remembered as more of a problem than a hero.

So if you had a choice of Kenny staying, £50+ million to spend and see what happens next season or any manager on earth right now looking for a job which would you choose. For this thread only you are all the LFC owners and its your choice.

Mods, if this gets out of hand just close it, I think I have asked a fair question, lets see anyway.

Would I like it? No - I would prefer our managers to have time

Do I expect it? It's looking likely. Modern football is a funny old game!!

Absolutely Love Kenny and think he is an imperative to the future of Liverpool football club.

But If I had my way We would still have Rafa in charge, He also loves the club and is a tactical genius.

He is also responsible for completely overhauling our youth team and creating the strong u18s and reserve setup we have now......Think some kind of love child of the two would be perfect

As someone who has been a critic of Kenny's season I would like him to stay and be given another chance next season. If results still don't go the way we expect then I think it would be fair to judge. If he was to go, I hope we bring in a decent replacement. Despite what you think of Downing or Adam (not including Henderson or Carroll because they are young and developing) they were decent performers last season and although that doesn't justify the price tag, in the league they have let Liverpool down this season.

I'd give him another year for sure. Our performances have generally been good and we've outplayed most of the top teams but not always come away with the points due to that final cutting edge. I think they'll be keen to address that squad weakness this summer. But there's alot of positives from this year, with a largely new squad, and enough to build on - including one cup and potentially a second within our reaches.

Carroll improves with every game, Hendo also.
Downing and Adam are the only real iffy signings imo, but their second season might be better, who knows.

    Certainly another year in charge.

Defo another season. This season is all about getting the team ready for an onslaught.Like mentioned there were a lot of games so far this season where we played teams totally of the pitch but not finding the net.Do we need to spend in the summer yes but not as much as has been said on here.Maybe 1or2 new players.

Gut feeling that today we saw the beginning of the end for Kenny. Hope i'm wrong, but this looks very much like a 'clearing the decks' exercise before a new manager comes in......Hope i'm wrong, would like Kenny to have another season. Another gut feeling tells me that Rafa will be appointed in his place; his record at Liverpool looks incredible today after 3 seasons in the CL wilderness!

Never a dull moment these days!

uir its a very fair question.

the answer to this comes in three simple points.

    1. if someone asked you the self same question in 1990 what would you have said AND when chelsea came with the big money and you didn't look great did you want ferguson to step down?

    2. If ANY manager you care to mention won a carling cup in thier first year do you think they should be sacked.

    3. do you think that the other 89 teams in the league (lets leave utd, liverpool and cheslea out) would sack a manager beacuse they just have such high expectations that having a bad run of 6 losses in the league around two wins would call for dismissal even if a cup was won.

in the end the three points all add up to there not being much of a case to sack the guy at all. points about whether or not he is the right guy are completely MOOT. Why? cos they bloody appointed him i nthe first place so that was the time for wondering about it.

I heard he's won more than Arsene "tactical genius, awesome team builder, Arsenal's best ever manager and all round football genius" in the last 12 months than Wenger has in 7 years <ok>

Aww, the mods of this board can't handle the facts so they have to edit my posts. :( How sad. I hope one day you can be thick skinned enough to take critcism.

As I was saying before I was rudely editied, I admire Kenny's business acumen of winning the Carling Cup and being currently 8th after spending 100million. I'm sure Damien Comolli agrees. I sit back in awe of Kenny's astute business knowledge.

Winning the Emirates cup year after year, whilst lining the pockets of your owners by selling your best players, and then finally putting together a run of form when you can win **** all. I'd worry about your own clubs affairs if I were you.

Thanks for the support but I do find it funny that a scouser is calling Arsenal a sad decline. :D

I'm very worried that we're finishing 3rd just beneath a team that has spent millions and a well established dominate force. <ok>

  20. I don't want Liverpool Football Club to join the sacking culture. We have always supported our managers in the past and should make sure that Hodgson's short reign was just a blip in our very good and loyal history!

The football we have played for most of this season has been fantastic and that is thanks to Kenny, Steve and Kevin. With the right couple of players in the summer, we could be a very good team next year. And no, I am not meaning a title challenge so I am not saying next year will be our year!
