It's been my view for a while that Sepp Blatter's comments about footballers settling their issues (whether race-related or not) should be something done on the pitch or with a handshake after the game. And I think that should have been the case with Evra and Suarez recently, rather than Evra crying to the referee (when he clearly has no qualms with using the word '******' himself) and Suarez getting a poorly-orchestrated justice campaign from the professional victims at the top of Liverpool FC.

So when I see Kenny Dalglish making the melodramatic gesture of getting his team to all train in 'Suarez' shirts, and making the following comments about censoring football fans, I just think "Christ this guy is pathetic". Yes an eight-game ban was excessive and Evra should have been punished too, but Suarez is no child and the FA are well within their rights, even if they are applying them a little heavily.

So he's effectively proposing fining the scum just because their fans chanted 'racist bastard' in reference to Suarez, is he? Or getting stewards to forcibly eject anyone who questions the moral purity of his chum Suarez? It's not often I'd side with scum over Liverpool, but in this case, their wallowing in grief mentality is taking over again.

I agree, very bad taste from Liverpool. Suarez is first and foremost a cheat, his constant diving is a disgrace. As for his punch off the line in the World Cup last year to deny Ghana, well it was just despicable how his teammates all congratulated him like a hero. He has been found guilty, punished and Liverpool should just move on.

    Southampton fan in peace.
Totally agree with all the comments about Dalglish - pathetic response from the well know whiner.
If he was a man of any principle - which I do not think he is - he would stand & say Suarez was out of order & leave it at that. Don,t think he,s man enough for that.

I hate suarez so much, i think he is a cheat as BillysStatue said, yes he is always diving and whatnot. However, i think what evra done is ridiculous and i have said many a time before that i dont actually think the FA where within their right to do anything about it and i dont condone racism but i seriously dont think that any words said on the pitch can be punished and players need to learn how to deal with it in truth. People chanting racist things should be thrown out of grounds and whatever but i think to punish a player that said something racist (bearing in mind evra was the only one to hear anything inside a crowded box and even his teammates didnt hear anything let alone the liverpool players) is a bit stupid.

Although saying that, I also think the way dalglish has gone about it all is also a bit stupid. He annoys me as a person with pretty much everything he does

Top post Leeds_18<ok> and i agree with most of what you wrote. However the eight game ban is no where near enough if the kangaroo court have found him guilty(which they have), if he was a fan and a steward/Policeman say he was guilty of racism the fan would be banned from all football grounds for at least 3 years(possibly life).
The use of someones word against anothers would not get to a Court of Law due to lack of evidence, however in Football someones words can be taken out of the context of what was meant and used against them, as long as the accuser is Black.
