It appears that Kenneth and his agent are agitating for a move away from the memorial stadium.I dont think that Higgs or Ward will stand in his way if he puts in a transfer request the problem is anyone wishing to sign him or even take him on loan following his injury and previous lack of form at Rovers. View attachment 26811 click on image A solution might be perhaps he should follow the example of a fellow scottish ex Rovers player Duffy and try out playing in GOA India, it seems to be working well for him after a year of warming the bench at Cheltenham, he similar to Kenneth could stand it no more and is scoring goals for fun at his new club.http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/24352543 good read and fair play to Duffy. View attachment 26812 Kenneth has struggled to get a game and is generally seen as a bench warmer by the coaching set up and it has to be said by most of the supporters. He has only played 24 games as he picked up a career threating injury, since returning to the first team squad he has not managed to kick a ball in anger in FL2. Understandably at 26 he should be playing regulary and is seeking opportunities elswhere so go on Mr Kenneth take a bow exit stage right as soon as possible. In the meantime take a chance if selected by Ward to fill in for Billy Crystal and prove every one wrong that you are worth a place in the starting 11 or at least put yourselve in the shop window. It would really help Rovers if he left and Ward had the cash to spend on a decent replacement or two! COR View attachment 26814
if he wants to go, i doubt he will find any takers who will pay as much as us or shall i say who are stupid to pay as high as us! he will have to accept a wage cut im sure! sooner the better. dont want players at the club who dont want to be here!
I back Ward but the issue here seems to be a bit unclear. I'd like to hear Kenneth's side. If fit he would certainly be in my back four.
Kenneth has picked up a groin injury Not from football we understand What else is there to do when you are injured eh View attachment 26903 COR
I have difficulty with the likes of Kenneth. If he wants to go, why doesn't he just go?? Is it really more important to sit his arse and get paid for doing nowt, than to play the game he obviously loves somewhere else? Why is it so important to leave with a massive back hander? Is money the only thing that matters to him? Show some moral fibre Gary and earn the respect of our club and wherever your next home will be!!!
tbf most pros that are out in the cold with a nice long contract would look to take a golden goodbye, not all of them so Garry is not alone in todays game it surprises me that clubs in the lower leagues sign players for more than two seasons unless they are really stellar and Mr Kenneth does not fall into that category. They need a contract that gives them a season of football with a potential for extra seasons if certain criteria is met again with families moving to a new area this may not be a winner or realistic for some players.
