https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/45247739 Newcastle United's on-loan midfielder Kenedy will not serve a ban for kicking out at Cardiff's Victor Camarasa in their Premier League draw on Saturday. The Brazilian, 22, looked to kick Camarasa off the ball and it appeared to be missed by referee Craig Pawson. After the game, Cardiff boss Neil Warnock said the challenge should have resulted in a "straight red card". But the Football Association said a free-kick was awarded, so it considers the matter dealt with. Its independent panel can only issue retrospective bans for incidents that were missed at the time. Kenedy, who is on a season-long loan at St James' Park from Chelsea, had a day to forget in the 0-0 draw at Cardiff City Stadium. He failed to complete a pass in the first half of the game - the first player to achieve that statistic for eight years - then missed a penalty in stoppage time. arghhhh spelt his name wrong spelling police will be after me
He should have been sent off, BUT.... HAHAHAHAHAAHA IN YOUR FACE WARNOCK YOU BORING WHINEY **** HAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!! I never condone violence, but anything that gets one over Neil Warnock overrides anything else.
Yeah I didn't expect anything to come of it because the free-kick had been given, which is a daft rule. It's debatable whether that's good news for us though. Kenedy came back from pre-season looking quite far and has seemed off the pace so far. He's by miles the most technically gifted player in the squad though, so I would probably play him even if he continues having shockers for the next 2/3 games after Chelski. Murphy to start in his place against Chelsea?
Don't think they wanted to embarrass the ref who would have all his cock up highlighted. The man had a mare.
I have been more impressed with Murphy on the right wing so if he comes in for Kenedy I'd stick Ritchie on the left. With it being Chelsea I think Rafa may go with Atsu as he us probably more reliable at the defensive work.
I read yesterday that 3 match ban would only have seen Kenedy missing one more league game anyway since he would miss Chelsea anyway and there is a cup game after that and both would count towards the banned games.
Kennedy needs to watch videos of how Zaha plays - none of this ****ty primary school playground spinning around, just direct running and quick feet.
Zaha has made vast progession in the last 18 months. Kennedy is a very raw talent but needs to start looking for team mates. Doesn't help when Ritchie when he gets in a sulk does the exact same.
