I have just read the statement that Kennedy has given basically apologising to the fans for Saturday's rubbish performance and the usual "we are going to put it right after taking a long hard look at ourselves! blah, blah, blah bollocks! Its all very well for Kennedy to come out and speak to the fans BUT WHY ISN'T THAT USELSESS TWAT LEADBITTER APOLOGISING! He's supposed to be the Captain FFS! What an absolute disgrace that bloke has turned out to be. Not fit to wear the shirt let alone the Captains armband! Well done to Kennedy for at least acknowledging the poor fans on Saturday but any repsect that I have for Leadboots has just vanished! I suggest he clears off now as he is not wanted at Portman Road IMO.
WHY indeed Yorkie! Kennedy is twice the player Leadboots will ever be and at least he has come out and apologised. When he came on second half he was vocal and rallying the troops as best he could. That muppet Leadboots was nowhere to be seen!
He has to go down as the worst captain in our history! The thing is I blame PJ for giving him the captaincy in the first place. Leadbitter is part of the problem so why give him the armband when any one with half a brain knows that he isn't up to it! I am beginning to lose my rag with Jewell especially after the numerous mistakes he has made since the summer!
Getting back to the apology, If the players were truely sorry they would all chip in from their large wage packets to refund all tickets and travel costs, and then the next time, and the time after that until it hits home that they have to earn their money just like everybody else.
Cant be too harsh on Kennedy but in general I dont want an apology. The saddest thing about our two recent thrashings was not the formation, the tactics or the refereeing decisions but the fact that 99% of our players just watched the opposition stream forward without even a hint of a tackle. I know PJ will face a lot of criticism and it is quite understandable why he will but if none of our players care and none can be bothered to win the ball back then what hope does he, as a manager, and us, as a club, face?
I don't go along with this refund thing. If they want to apologise they just need to go and beat Leeds.
I have just read an old headline from the EADT last week "CHOPRA WARNS POSH OF BACKLASH!" It makes you want to weep!
Actually JWM It was a crafty piece of miss reporting from the EADT, It should have read 'CHOPRA WARNS POSH OF PASS BACK' because he had just seen ****wit leadbitter in training.
If the Kennedy apology was stage managed by the club - as it often is - this could be good news for once. Maybe they have finally recognised that Leadtwat isn't captain material and have given up on him in favour of someone who could be!!
**** the players chipping in for a refund, they should just not be paid full stop. It's not like any of them have earnt it. I'm with Guru, hit the players in the pocket and they might decide to play better. Nobody ever learns anything when actions go unpunished.
