To be fair to Mr Bates, I commend any businesses trying to evade the horrendous tax rates in this country. Good business sense running a football club and saving money. Shame none of it ever seems to reappear.

I guess the decision on whether he's totally fleecing us will come at the end of next season. It looks like he has but we do have a huge hotel to finance and he might splash out yet this summer. As for tax, I just consider it the same as any other common extortion of money. The fact the government's created a dependency culture and entangled itself in horrid wars is a bad thing but not something that I like to see financed. Can see this being an unpopular view.

Leeds turnover 27million.vat on that 5.4million. Leeds wages 12.3million,40% paye on that 4.92million. TOTAL TAX PAID 10.32MILLION paid last year alone. If we were kicked out of the league.you lot would have to get a job.
