http://www.skysports.com/story/0,19528,11095_6781674,00.html John Carew is proving to be a great asset for Stoke City according to assistant manager Dave Kemp. The Norwegian striker has become a popular figure at the club following his loan move from Aston Villa in January. The 31-year-old recently admitted he felt at home at the club, leading many to believe the two parties will look to seal a permanent deal in the summer. Kemp was full of praise for the striker and the impact he has had in a relatively short time at the club. "He has been a great addition to the squad. He is a big plus as he has made a big impact and hopefully he will continue doing that," he said. "John has a good personality, so he's been a good character around the place. "He is a bubbly type of character, and as his performances have been superb, we're very pleased he is here. "He is actually a very pleasant person to be around. His cup is always half full, and that demeanour helps around the football club. "The fact he is also a top-notch player helps even more, so he has certainly added something to our squad, with his performances a major plus." Positive Kemp revealed that the striker is a positive influence not just on the pitch, but behind the scenes as well, creating a promising relationship between club and player. "You want people who are 100% behind the programme and who are going to give it their all, and John certainly does that," he added. "It's like two people who were looking for one another and they've found each other. "He has found it a good place for him, and we're very pleased he is here, so it is a good match, and hopefully that will continue for some considerable time. "Obviously it bodes well for the summer, but it's too early to talk about that. We've a lot of games to play between now and then. "Let's get those out of the way and then we can talk business after that."
